If your hot water supply pressure is the poor relation to that coming from the cold taps, then one reason may be becsuse you have a hot water cylinder like this one. Known as combination cylinders, they have an integrated header tank above the main cylinder and the water in tank pushes the hot water in the tank below out of the taps when they are opened.

The header tank would be lucky to be 2 metres above the hot water taps. And would deliver the hot water at s pressure of around 0.2 bar. The problem is that cold water from the mains is delivered at upto 3 bar - which is the equivilent of a header tank 30.6m above the tap. The solution to feeble hot water flow in this instance is to have an unvented cylinder installed which delivers hot water pressure at near ro.the cols tsp pressure. Not only that but it is far mote energy efdicient with cutting edge insulstion wrapping the cylinder to minimise thermal loss. There really is nothing better than a smooth plastered wall, its the foundation for every decoration job, and welcomes layers of paint like old school friends, effortlessly applied and with great results gusranteed. We like to mist coat all our plasterwork even if the client is decorating it themselves, this ensures we leave them with a surface ready for top coat paints without the worry of preparing it first. Too many times we see paint peeling off walls where mist coats have been missed or not correctly diluted.

Do you live in a block of flats or a converted town house ? If you do then you've probably had your fire doors inspected and likely had them Fail. We've been carrying out remedial carpentry work on fire doors to bring them up to standard for over 20 years, but ince the HMO regulations were introduced this task
has become far more urgent. Not only do fire doors save lives ... but you might have your HMO licence refused or even revoked if your doors dont comply.

It may not be glamorous work but making sure the gaps between door and sash are between 2 and 4mm, that the hinges are fire rated and CE marked and that the intumescent smoke seals are complete and arn't painted over could just be a matter of life or death. At the end of the day, the perfectly adjusted door closers means a good night's sleep for all our clients and their neighbours.

Whatever the size of your patio, ensuring that it's laid on a sound base is the key to a surface that will give years of trouble free service to your garden that looks as good.in 10 years time as it does the day it was laid.

Before we start laying new material,.the old topsoil and turf must be removed . Our natural sandstone slabs have been primed on the reverse and then laid on a full wet bed of mortar over a compacted hard-core subbase. This ensures they won't loosen over time. The joints are filled with a specialist jointing compound ensuring they wont crack or spall in the years to.come.

A beautifully rendered house not only has great aesthetic appeal but it also provides critical weatherproofing to older properties that don't have the benefit of cavity walls. Its a thing of beauty, well if you are in to custom restaurant doors it is anyway. We've just finished installing a beautiful new street door at Noa's in Clifton, and isn't she a gem. Our carpenters had to overcome a seriously out of plumb frame as well as pretty extensive rot on the lower sections but now the entrance is riding high on a wave of kerb appeal.

All Trade have tanking systems running through our blood. There isn't a day that goes by when something isn't being tanked and replastered. Here we are working on a therapy room that is basement level of a Clifton dental practice. Damp.was rife but no longer, and that's guaranteed.
