Seen as everyone is winding down we wanted to get it in early and wish all of our customers and everyone who supports us a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We’ve had a fantastic year and can’t thank everyone that used our services in 2025 enough 🙏🏻. We can’t wait to get going into 2026 with projects and work we already have booked in.

It was in my opinion a pinnacle moment for us today as we’re alway re investing in the business as our Renault Ares turned up in the yard. Not only will this be a vital machine in the future it will further expand the services we can provide going forward and will no doubt be a key piece of equipment to us for many years ahead.

Machine and operator hire job we’ve had on this weekend in Thornton removing an existing driveway and adjoining front gardens ready for work to begin on a new resin driveway being installed.
As we got to work the job grew as our customers neighbour decided they’d also like us to break their concrete out in order to have a fresh driveway themselves. We’ll be back this week to complete this and get the waste removed and sub base laid for both parties.

We’ve been extremely busy this year with all aspects of services we provide and would like to thank everyone that uses and supports us 🙏🏻

Busy here as always especially with a recent job on a Hanix H26b that the customer called me out to for a failed bottom roller. Upon inspection I noticed that all the undercarriage wearables were in a very sorry state with play on all bearings if they weren’t already seized. With all new carriage wearables being extremely costly and this digger only being used very occasionally I gave the customer the option to put the wearables through the workshop and and see what I could do with them. I stripped all the rollers and idlers and and re pressed RS sealed bearings into them pulling off the inside seal and packing with grease to make them self lubing. This is a process I’ve used before with the hire diggers and provides great results and longevity for a fraction of the price over new. Even with the extra labour involved in this process it saved the customer in the region of £700 over installing all new wearables. I will always do the best i can to work to our customers needs and budget to provide the best solution for them regardless of the work load involved.

Couple of other pictures added of a radiator swap out on site to a JCB 8008 we look after and the mighty Kubota u17 out on hire this week with a local building contractor doing a full home restoration in lytham.

Couple of recent jobs the first being this lovely little John Deere 4720 that i went out to earlier on in the year that wouldn’t respond on the turn of the key. I diagnosed this to a couple of electrical faults. The first being a damaged earth strap and the second being the starter solenoid. On this occasion it was cheaper to replace the whole starter than send off for reconditioning. We were back today for a full service of all fluids and filters and to repair a snapped door hinge so she’s ready to go as the spring weather starts to kick in.

Next job pictured I was called out to a JCB 3cx that was leaking oil out of the king post. I quickly diagnosed that the slew piston seals had gone and was leaking hydraulic fluid into the slew rack housing. I was back today to fit fresh seals to both pistons and fill the rack housing with some fresh 80w/90 gear oil.

Busy weekend for me being called out to two 13 ton hitachi’s with hydraulic leaks.
The first the customer unfortunately managed to put a branch through the boom and ripped 2 hydraulic pipes and bent over the steel boom lines in the process. I stripped everything off and got to work making the best i could with the steel lines. I cut away the bends that had been sent the wrong way on impact and welded a new flat orf hydraulic fitting on the smaller of the lines and sourced a new compression fitting for the larger free flow return line. The existing flexi hydraulic hoses were beyond repair so two longer ones were made up to make up for the excess cut off the steel lines. I gave the girl a full grease around before we left.
The second job on the ex135 was a persistent oil leak that they were struggling to locate. After a wipe down and look around I quickly found a fitting that had come loose and blown its seal out in a tricky position down the back of the valve block. I replaced the seal and nipped everything back up tight in a very limited access spot.

Always nice to be able to get people back up and working in quick time taking the pressure of break downs and getting behind on schedule.

We don’t post here anywhere near enough and we will definitely try to be better with that as the year goes on and keep you up to date with our latest projects. We’re always busy behind the scenes working to provide the best service we can alongside the equipment we can supply.

Our latest edition is the kubota u17 that incorporates zero tail swing for maximum safety, fitted with the mighty D902 engine to give maximum power. Equipped with manual quick hitch, expandable tracks and 2 speed tracking this Kubota is ready to tackle the toughest of jobs in the tightest of areas.

Both our K008 machines and the u17 can be equipped with our mighty Atlas copco SB52 breaker for unmatched power in the small excavator class.

Our machines can be supplied with or without operators and can be delivered with 12 month inspection certificates making them ready to go on site.

Couple of recent jobs and examples of our work.

Incase you didn’t know we’re also happy to undertake work with our machines. Recently we undertook a small job for a customer in Hambleton scraping off for a new path down their front garden and digging out a deep rectangular hole at the bottom ready for a hefty concrete base to be poured for a large cantilever gate. We left the site tidy and the soil in 2 neat piles ready for the grab wagon to collect.

We recently got called out to hitachi zx130 that was failing to start. We quickly noticed that the diesel filters were blocked but the problem lied a little deeper with years of tank sludge built up in the bottom of the diesel tank we performed a full diesel system service. Fuel tank drained and cleaned, fuel filters replaced, we added an extra inline z75 filter for good measure then re bled the machine up and away she went.

We got a call last thing yesterday from one of our customers with a snapped track putting them out of action and potentially behind on schedule.
We dropped them a replacement digger off bright and early to keep them moving and had their digger re tracked and moving within 24 hours of the call.

Did you know we don’t just do hire ? We also want to service and repair your small plant, agri and garden machinery. From small repairs to complete overhauls and brake downs we’ve got you covered.

Pictured below is a job we’ve turned around quickly to get the lads down at TLC moving again. They came to us with a major hydraulic leak which stopped them in their tracks. We quickly found the leak and had the parts on the shelf to get them back up and moving whilst sorting some other minor leaks in the process.
