🌳✨ A lovely project we are really proud of! ✨🌳

The customer wanted a stunning resin driveway… but also wanted to protect and keep their beautiful mature tree 💚

So instead of removing it, we carefully designed the driveway around the tree, creating a feature centrepiece while still giving them a modern, low-maintenance resin bound finish 👌

A few important things when installing resin around trees:
✅ Leave a proper tree pit for airflow and water
✅ Avoid smothering roots with heavy concrete
✅ Use permeable materials where possible
✅ Water regularly, especially during dry weather
✅ Keep mulch topped up around the base (but away from the trunk)
✅ Monitor the tree during the first 1–2 years after installation

We always try to work WITH existing features rather than just removing them 🌿

⚠️ THINKING ABOUT A DROPPED KERB? READ THIS FIRST ⚠️

This keeps happening… and it’s honestly frustrating to see people getting caught out 😡

If you’re planning a new dropped kerb or widening an existing one, please understand this:

👉 It is NOT just the cost of the kerb itself

💷 EXTRA COSTS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT:
• £225 – Council pre-application fee
• £225 – Full approval fee
❗ If refused, you lose the first £225

🚨 THE MOST IMPORTANT PART (that many don’t tell you)…

If your driveway slopes towards the pavement, the council will require:
✔ A properly installed driveway
✔ Adequate drainage

⛔ They will NOT sign off the dropped kerb without this
⛔ You typically have 12 months to complete it

If you don’t:
• The kerb can be removed
• You can be charged for it
• It can cause problems when selling your home

😞 REAL SITUATION WE SAW THIS WEEK…

A customer paid for a dropped kerb…
Was told “they never check” 😳

❌ No driveway installed
❌ Council refused to sign it off

🥰Take A Look Start To Finish............and yet again, take our advice on home improvement projects.....PLEASE

🤬This poor lady was scammed out of a few thousand pound by a previous "patio installer"- who offered to "sort her garden out"- he "fitted" the patio, made a "wooden step" to the bottom of the garden, added "softwood sleepers" (do not add these when retaining earth) and promised to return to "complete the garden" when she paid him in full in advance.

😡As soon as she paid him the full amount (under huge pressure) he disappeared into thin air- the lady is too scared to report him as she is disabled- it happens so frequently unfortunately.
