🩵 Just a quick update from Odd Job Jord! 🩵

It’s the start of summer, which means our parks in Hull are packed with events, activities and lots of people out enjoying the sunshine. As a park attendant, Jord's been run off his feet lately – even working weekends!

That does mean he’s got less free time at the moment, but he’s still doing his best to fit in help visits wherever he can. You might notice a few more tea-time/evening bookings, or the odd last-minute shuffle – so we really appreciate your patience while we try to keep things ticking along.

He’s that committed to looking after people that even his day job involves looking after the whole of Hull’s green spaces 🌳 Busy busy, as always!

Thanks for bearing with us 🩵

🌿💬 Quick Update From the Chaos Crew (that’s us!) 💬🌿

Hey lovely people — just a little note from HQ (aka the dining table covered in coffee cups and to-do lists 😅).

We know we’ve been a little slow replying lately. Truth is, we’re absolutely swamped — and tech gremlins have NOT been on our side these past couple of weeks. Between glitchy forms, messages hiding in the void, and a bit of equipment deciding to give up the ghost, it’s been… a time. 😵‍💫

BUT — no moaning here! Just asking for a little patience and understanding while we get through the mountain of messages, emails, and now (hopefully finally!) working forms. 🙏

💻 NEW FORM LINK (Third time lucky!):

If you've been trying to reach us, please use this link to tell us everything we need to know — job details, contact info, access needs, and give us that all-important consent to keep everyone covered.

Meanwhile, Jord’s run off his feet juggling jobs AND his actual job, our tools are waiting to be replaced, and it's the school holidays on top of it all (yes, we’re also full-time parents trying to keep small humans entertained and fed 🍉🧃). So bear with us — we are getting through it, just with a slightly frazzled edge.

We see you. We appreciate you. And we’ll get back to you as soon as humanly possible 💚

Thanks for sticking with us.
— Team Chaos (aka Odd Job Jord 🩵😅)

📬 Having trouble messaging us on Facebook?
We’ve had a few people mention that the message button isn’t showing up for them, we’re not sure why (cheers, Meta 😅), but we don’t want that to stop anyone from getting in touch.

💡 If you can’t message the page directly, you can drop us an email instead:

📧 [email protected]

Whether you need help with your garden, a small job indoors, or just want to ask a question, we’re here for it.
And if your messenger does work, feel free to keep messaging us that way too! Both are totally fine 🩵

Let’s keep making spaces safer, cleaner, and a little less stressful, together 💪

Sometimes, life gets on top of us. We don’t ask why, we just show up and get stuck in 💪🏻

Jord got stuck into this one for someone who wanted to stay anonymous, and we totally respect that. Sometimes you just need a bit of help without the spotlight.

Now, before anyone comes at Jord for not jet washing, blame the hosepipe ban 😅💦
He scrubbed, swept, and made it sparkle the good old-fashioned way (and only swore a little bit when the mud fought back).

Big thanks to this lovely lady for trusting us, no names, just kindness and a better view out the window. 💛

This is the first of many free jobs Jord is offering this summer as part of a project to help those who need a hand but don’t have the means right now.
This particular space belongs to a newly single mum navigating a tough time after an unexpected loss.
The goal? Clear the chaos, give her a fresh start, and make the space feel manageable again. Just a bit of weeding, tidying, and care, but to someone already carrying a lot, it means the world.
If you know someone in Hull who could use a helping hand with their indoor or outdoor space, feel free to drop us a message.🩵
This service is completely free, all we ask is to document some of the work so we can keep showing what’s possible when community shows up for each other. 🌱

✨ A gentle reminder from Team Odd Job Jord ✨

We’re here offering free help to those who can’t do it themselves, not those who just won’t. That means our priority will always be people living with illness, disability, or tough life circumstances. 💙

This isn’t a big company. It’s just us, a couple of ordinary humans trying to do something good for our community, all while juggling our own jobs, families, and lives.

So if you don’t agree with how we run things, that’s okay. But what we won’t tolerate is hate, bullying, or nastiness toward us or the people we’re helping. This space is for kindness, compassion, and support only.

Thanks to everyone who’s shown love and encouragement so far. You’re the reason we’re able to keep doing this 💪💙

🌿✨ Odd Job Jord – Lending a Hand, One Job at a Time ✨🌿

This isn’t a free item – it’s something better: a free service with heart. I’m building something as close to a non-profit as I can- a community-powered project aimed at helping those who are struggling to keep up with their indoor or outdoor spaces.

Whether it’s a garden that’s gotten out of hand, a cluttered room that’s become overwhelming, or even a shared alleyway full of rubbish and weeds - I want to help. No catch, no hidden fees, no judgment. Just support, empathy, and a bit of elbow grease. 💪

I’m based in Hull and surrounding areas, and I’m offering free help with jobs big and small – all I ask in return is permission to take a few photos or videos during the process. These help raise awareness, attract donations, and hopefully keep this project going long-term.

✅ Garden weeding
✅ Waste removal
✅ Cleaning & clearing
✅ Light repairs & odd jobs
✅ Community cleanups
✅ Help for those who can’t manage alone

🔁 Why?
Because I’ve always believed in helping where I can, and with the world as heavy as it is right now, I want to give people one less thing to stress about. This is for the single parents, the carers, the elderly, the chronically ill, and anyone who just feels a bit overwhelmed and needs a hand.

💚 Donations are welcome if you’re in a position to give, but not expected. The long-term goal is to keep this going through kindness, social media engagement, and community backing.

📩 Know someone who could use a hand? Or need one yourself?
Send me a message. Let’s get something sorted.

Let’s clear a way through the fog - together.
