Here’s one of our recent holiday home designs, created to make the most of its beautiful surroundings while blending contemporary architecture with practical family living.

One thing that’s really important to us is designing the outside spaces as carefully as the building itself. That’s why hard landscaping design is included as standard with all of our projects.
terraces, pathways and driveways to retaining walls, steps and outdoor entertaining areas, we believe the landscape should feel like a natural extension of your home.

We're delighted to have secured planning permission for this beautiful countryside home extension.

When we shared this project a few weeks ago, we spoke about the importance of responding to the landscape, enhancing the setting, and creating spaces that connect effortlessly with the views beyond. We're thrilled that vision has now been given the green light.

🎉 This week, Amy Briers Architects celebrates 6 years in business!

What began as a dream to create beautiful, thoughtful homes and spaces has grown into a business that has given me the privilege of working with incredible clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers across Cheshire and beyond.

Over the last six years, I've helped homeowners, families, businesses and developers transform properties, secure planning permissions, navigate complex projects and bring their visions to life.

Every project is a collaboration, and I'm always grateful for the trust my clients place in me.

A huge thank you to all of my clients, past and present, and to the consultants, engineers, planners, surveyors, contractors and fellow professionals whose expertise and support have been invaluable along the way. 🤝

We're delighted to have secured planning permission for the transformation of this tired Welsh holiday bungalow on the beautiful Llŷn Peninsula into a stunning, energy-efficient coastal retreat.

The existing property suffered from overheating, poor thermal performance and a layout that no longer met the needs of modern family living. Our design increases the floor area to create generous open-plan family and social spaces, alongside the additional bedrooms and bathrooms needed for comfortable holiday accommodation.

A key part of the design was strengthening the connection between the home and its surroundings, creating seamless links to both the front and rear gardens while maximising opportunities to enjoy views towards the sea.

The result will be a warm, attractive and cosy holiday home, designed for year-round enjoyment and within walking distance of the beach - the perfect place for families and friends to relax, unwind and create lasting memories!

We feel incredibly lucky to work on projects in such breathtaking locations - where the landscape does so much of the talking, and the role of architecture is simply to respond, enhance, and frame those views beautifully.

This scheme has been carefully designed to sit comfortably within its setting, opening up the home to the rolling hillside beyond and creating calm, light-filled spaces that connect effortlessly with the landscape.

Projects like this are always a reminder that great design isn’t about doing more - it’s about doing the right things, in the right place.

We’re delighted to have secured planning permission with Stockport Council for this side + rear extension, full renovation and loft conversion to a detached family home.

A calm, contemporary transformation designed around light, proportion and family life 🤍

Material palette:
– St Ives Wienerberger brick
– Limed oak Millboard cladding
– Black framed glazing for contrast + depth

A beautiful blend of old + new = respectful to the existing home, but elevating it completely.
