☀️🔋⚡️ Our ongoing project in Plymouth is making remarkable progress as we move closer to finishing the installation. Here’s a snapshot of our current progress ⬇️

🟡 Module Installation: We are pleased to announce that module installation is 75% complete. This marks a huge milestone in our project timeline.

🟡 Inverter Mounting: All inverters have been successfully mounted, ensuring they are ready for integration into the system.

🟡 Excavation Works: Excavations for HV, LV, DC and communication cabling have been completed. This critical groundwork allows for the seamless installation of essential cabling.

🟡 Cabling Progress: The installation of LV and DC cabling is progressing well. Our team is focused on ensuring that all cabling is installed to the highest standards.

🟡 Scaffolding Installation: Scaffolding has been installed by WT Scaffolding Ltd to support the preparation works for the LV Board installation.

🟡 Improving Site Conditions: Finally some drier weather! After experiencing some challenges with weather conditions, we are happy to report that the site conditions are starting to improve!

5MW Solar Farm re-powering project - Plymouth📍

As our project here in Plymouth continues, we are proud to be making significant progress despite the challenging weather conditions.

Here is an update on the current status ⬇️

» All existing modules and redundant steels removed
» All existing DC cabling removed
» New steels being erected in preparation for new modules
» New base prepared for transformer station relocation
» New hardstanding storage / loading & unloading area completed
» Transformer station relocation completed 07.01... just before storm Goretti hit!

✨ Final job of 2025 completed!!

Module relocation: The new tenant of this building required us to remove a section of the existing 100kWp PV array down the roof to allow for the installation of coffee roasting flues.

This process required us to remove and relocate the modules, optimisers and mounting structure. Additionally, we needed to reconfigure the DC cabling and install cable containment on the roof.

Many thanks to WT Scaffolding Ltd for supplying the scaffolding and also to St Ives Safety Nets for supplying the netting, ensuring safe work around the skylights.

In recent weeks, our team has been busy working on various commercial and residential solar energy system projects.

This work involved repositioning one of our customers' inverter for a planned expansion at the rear of the building. Including relocating the entire setup, along with all cabling and containment, as well as re-terminating the connections.

Whether through new installations or system upgrades, we strive to support a sustainable energy future. Providing a complete service, from site surveys to commissioning and maintenance. Work in progress 🚀☀️🔋

5MW Solar Farm re-powering project - Plymouth📍

One of our current ongoing projects, involves condensing this existing solar site in Plymouth to half of the footprint to free up the land for development.

Works include:
» Removal of existing modules
» Adapting existing mounting structure to accommodate new modules
» Installation of new, higher output modules
» Removal of existing central inverters & DC combiner boxes
» Relocation of transformer stations
» Upgrading transformer station HV & LV switchgear
» Installation of new HV & LV cabling
» Installation of new string Inverters
» Installation of new DC cabling & containment

Works carried out so far include:
» Site establishment, including welfare facilities
» Removal of existing modules & mounting structure
» Upgrading sections of internal tracks suitable for movement of the transformer stations
» Testing of ground screw suitability for Inverter mounting

This project is expected to be completed by March 2026 💪🏻

🔆🔋Our most recent project at bott UK in Bude focused on the re-powering of their existing 10kWp solar array🔋🔆

This involved removing all modules and the mounting structure, followed by the installation of an additional 36.0kWp on the South East and West elevations of the building. All necessary approvals were signed-off with National Grid as part of the process

Additionally, there is another 50kWp system, bringing the total installed capacity to just below 100 kWp. This system was not installed by us, but we have performed corrective work on it in the past. The aim is to add more systems in the future to help reduce their substantial imported energy costs.

We will also be installing a monitoring system that will allow the site to track the performance of all 3 systems, along with imported and exported energy. Providing a clear overview of their energy usage.

🔆 We have been very busy over the last few weeks completing a range of projects for Residential, Commerical and Operations and Maintenace Solar Energy Systems 🔆

🏠 Residential - Our residential customer had experienced a shattered module that was affecting performance and wanted to replace all modules (re-power) for a higher output. The original installation (not completed by us) was subpar, all cables connectors and optimisers lying scattered across the roof.

We upgraded the system from 265W to 445W, securely mounted all optimisers to the structure and ensured that connectors were tied and supported to prevent any contact with the roof. Additionally, we notified his Feed-in Tariff supplier about the increased capacity and provided the necessary documentation required.

🚨 Commercial - Seymac Distribution
We were asked to install a fireman's switch on the outside of this unit for insurance compliances. In the event of a fire, the fire brigade can isolate the DC supply from the modules within the building before entering. Not originally installed by us.
