From rotten to refreshed 🚽✨

This toilet had definitely seen better days…

The pan connection was leaking due to the toilet not being properly supported, which had eventually caused the chipboard flooring underneath to rot, become heavily mouldy and completely concave.

We stripped it all back and got stuck in:

🔧 Removed the old toilet and boxing
🪚 Removed all of the rotten, mouldy chipboard
🏠 Reinstated a solid new floor
🚽 Reinstalled the toilet with the necessary pipework adaptations
📐 Built new boxing around the pipework
🪵 Installed a brand-new tile-effect laminate floor
✨ Finished everything off cleanly and properly

All completed in one long day.

Another job where it’s done right, done once.

A member of my new community of Southam Warwickshire has been ripped off.

I called the client up after a busy bank holiday weekend to find out that she’s already had her leak found and sorted. However for an absurdly cost!

Upon my visit to understand fully what’s gone on I assessed the kitchen leak repair. All of which was £2.78 from screwfix and an hours work.

To be charged £1209.00 is INSANE.
No invoice, just bank details on a screen to be paid before they left the residence.
2 men standing over a pensioner demanding payment of that cost to single woman in retirement.
I’d have charged £105.00. I don’t know how some people sleep at night.

The reason for sharing this post is to spread awareness.
This is unacceptable. Please, wherever you are in our region, verify your tradespeople. Check their website, see if they are on Checkatrade, Google reviews, and Facebook. Ask for a portfolio of previous work, and always verify credentials before any work. Let’s keep our community safe and informed.

(The woman in question wishes I don’t inform trading standards or pursue the matter any further than spreading awareness)

I love this plumber - REAL TALK HERE!

It’s very hard to organise a full team to carry out a bathroom these days. It’s not a simple renovation in today’s day of age.
And people don’t want to pay the right money for a proper job well done.
The average bathroom supplied and fit is now around £7000.00.
Top tip - Always allow another 10% too for unknown issues that can arise.
