✂️ Lavender looking a little overgrown? Now is the perfect time to give it a trim.

These lavender bushes had finished flowering and were starting to lose their neat shape, so we gave them a careful prune to encourage healthy, compact growth and keep them looking their best.

Late summer is one of the best times to prune lavender because:
🌿 It helps maintain a tidy, rounded shape.
🌿 Encourages bushier growth next season.
🌿 Reduces the chances of plants becoming woody and leggy.
🌿 Removes spent flower stems, keeping your borders looking fresh and well cared for.

The key is to prune the soft green growth and avoid cutting back into the old woody stems, as lavender doesn’t always recover well from heavy pruning.

We’re really pleased with the transformation—simple maintenance now will help these plants thrive for years to come.

🐛 Another victim of the box tree caterpillar…

Our client in Solihull asked us to remove this badly damaged box hedge after it fell victim to the destructive box tree caterpillar.

With the hedge removed and the area cleared, the space is now ready to be transformed into a beautiful new flower bed that will provide colour, interest, and a much lower-maintenance feature for years to come. 🌸

Sometimes the best solution is to start fresh, and we can’t wait to see the next stage of this garden’s transformation.
