🏡 Bungalow Renovation – The Finished Kitchen Transformation!

From a cramped, enclosed kitchen to a bright and spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area. 🔨✨

Following the removal of the dividing wall in Stage 1, we’ve now completed the kitchen and transformed the space into a much more practical and inviting part of the home.

✨ Here’s what we completed:

✅ Installed a new sage green Howdens kitchen, finished with a complementary quartz worktop.

✅ Added a walk-in pantry, complete with a PIR sensor light.

✅ Created a peninsula breakfast bar where the original dividing wall stood, opening the kitchen directly into the lounge/dining area.

✅ Installed slat panelling around the breakfast bar and larder unit, adding warmth and a contrasting natural finish to the kitchen.

✅ Fitted two oak shelves with built-in lighting, alongside a new oak windowsill, adding some natural character and practical display space.

✅ Replaced the original single pendant light with spotlights, giving the kitchen a much brighter and more evenly lit finish.

✅ Applied a fresh skim to the walls and ceilings, providing a clean finish throughout the space.

✅ Full re-wire including under cabinet LEDs and new sockets and switches throughout the kitchen.

✅ Installed new LVT flooring, continuing seamlessly from the kitchen through into the dining area.

Having moved into the property earlier this year, the customers can now enjoy a kitchen designed around their needs and personal style.

What was once a cramped and enclosed kitchen is now a modern, spacious open-plan area that flows naturally into the dining and living space. 🏡✨

🏡 PROJECT COMPLETE IN MELTON MOWBRAY 🙌

What a transformation this has been! From removing the old conservatory right through to the finished extension, the project is now officially complete.

Over the last couple of weeks, the team have been cracking on with the finishing stages:

✅ 2nd fix electrics completed internally & externally and fully tested ⚡
✅ Plumbing completed 🚿
✅ Carpentry works completed 🔨
✅ Internal painting completed 🎨
✅ Floor screed installed
✅ Floor self-levelled and primed
✅ LVT flooring installed 👌
✅ Monocouche render completed
✅ All downpipes installed
✅ Building Control inspection completed and all works signed off

🏡 Another big milestone reached on our Melton Mowbray extension!

This week we had Innova Trade Frames in to install the new French doors, side door & window, getting the extension fully watertight and ready for the finishing stages. 👌

Inside, the lads have been cracking on with the internal works:
✅ First fix electrics completed ⚡
✅ First fix plumbing completed 🚿
✅ Fully insulated and taped
✅ Plasterboard installed
✅ Skimming now underway 🙌

It's really starting to look like a proper living space now, and the transformation from the original conservatory is coming together nicely!

A big shout out to the Team so far another quality job. 💪🏼

Another great milestone completed on our Melton Mowbray extension! 🏡💪🏼

This project is really starting to come together, and the transformation has been fantastic to see.

✅ Walls built up to wall plate
✅ Cut roof constructed by our in-house carpenter
✅ Two Velux roof windows installed
✅ Roof breathable felted and battened
✅ Marley Ludlow roof tiles fitted
✅ Lead flashing completed to the ridge
✅ White uPVC soffits and fascias installed
✅ Black guttering fitted

With the extension now fully weatherproof, we're moving onto the internal works this week.

✅ Damp proof course (DPC) completed
✅ Damp proof membrane (DPM) laid
✅ Insulation installed

✅ Brickwork now underway 🧱

Another extension underway this week in Melton Mowbray! 👌

An old customer had their existing conservatory removed, and we got straight to work breaking out the old concrete slab.

✅ Foundations dug out
✅ Building inspector approval passed
✅ Concrete poured 💪🏼

Another happy customer! 👌

On this project, the customer wanted the wall beneath the stairs opened up so they can have bespoke under-stairs storage cupboards installed at a later date.

We removed the existing block wall, then boarded and skimmed the area to leave it clean, smooth, and ready for the next stage.

🏡 Transforming this bungalow into a bright, open plan living space!

We've recently completed the first stage of this partial bungalow renovation, preparing the property for a stunning new kitchen installation.

🔨 Here's what we've completed so far:

✅ Carefully removed the existing kitchen, leaving a temporary sink area in place so the homeowners can continue using basic kitchen facilities until the new kitchen is installed.
✅ Removed the wall between the existing kitchen and the lounge/dining room to create a bright, spacious open-plan living area.
✅ Removed existing doorways to improve the flow throughout the home.
✅ Installed new studwork ready for boarding and finishing after first fix.
✅ Upgraded the heating system with a brand-new 35kw Viesmann Boiler improving efficiency and ensuring the home is ready for its new layout.

This is only the beginning, and we can't wait to show you the finished transformation once the new kitchen is fitted. It's going to look incredible! 👌

This project involved a complete strip-out and full renovation from start to finish.

✅ Everything removed back to the structure
✅ Tanking boards installed and all wet areas fully tanked for long-term waterproofing
✅ All plaster walls re-skimmed for a flawless finish
✅ New toilet, vanity unit, walk-in shower, and bath installed
✅ Large-format 300x600 tiles fitted throughout with modern grey grout
✅ Matching lino flooring installed for a seamless look
✅ Electric shower and heated towel radiator fitted
✅ 10mm toughened glass shower screen (2000mm x 1800mm) installed

Space carefully planned and utilised to maximise both storage and comfort

🔨 Decking Repair & Safety Upgrade 🌿

This decking area was a favourite spot for our customer to relax, but rotten joists beneath the steps had made it unsafe to use.

We replaced the damaged timbers, installed new posts, securely refitted the decking with extra screws, and finished the project with a new handrail and trellis.
