We would like to say a big thank you to our demonstrator Sionedd Hughes after she put on a spectacular display of flower designs from her new demonstration last night of "there's one born every minute". As it was our open evening we held it in a larger venue of Llanwyddn Hall and had a buffet to follow. We are pleased to report that we had 102 guests in attendance and minus expenses we made £991 which will help fund future events. Thanks to our members for the food for the buffet, the committee members for organising, setting up and running the evening, Maggie and Becca for the welcome flower arrangements, Ruth from the hall for all her help and finally to everyone who came along to support us. Here's a little close up of one of Sionedd's designs so as not to spoil the surprise for other groups.

Just a reminder it is Llanfyllin Flower Club open evening this coming Monday 18th May in Llanwyddn Village Hall (near Lake Vyrnwy). This year we have Sionedd Hughes from near Oswestry who has recently passed her Nafas National Demonstrators test. Sionedd is very entertaining and well worth coming to see. It would be lovely to see as many people there as possible as we have booked this large venue! Tickets available to buy in advance or on the night, but as we are doing a buffet if you can let us know rough numbers that would be extremely helpful. Please come and support our Open Evening with the very talented Sionedd Hughes from Selattyn, Oswestry. You will enjoy an entertaining evening of Sionedd's stories whilst she puts together some beautiful flower arrangements. To finish we will have a finger buffet with a chance to win one of Sionedd's flower arrangements at the end of the evening.

Thanks to Shirley Oakley our local demonstrator for our first demonstration of 2026. She was very entertaining and it was nice to see a good turnout and some new members at the meeting.

Our new members night is this coming Monday 19th January with our Flower Demonstrator for the evening is Shirley Oakley. Please remember subs are due for the year of £30 which includes free refreshments. If you don't wish to become a member visitors are always welcome for £6 per meeting. Plus there's a raffle for a chance to win one of the beautiful flower arrangements at the end of the evening.
A worksheet for our February meeting which will be an Easter workshop will be available on Monday. On the night itself you will be shown how to put together two flower arrangements before you get the chance to have have a go yourself with support given.
