You never quite know what’s behind the door in locksmithing…

This week we helped assist Metropolitan police in Lewisham

We were called to a void property that had been… enthusiastically re-occupied

Someone had gained entry, changed the locks, and turned the place into an unofficial business venture of the adult hospitality variety

The good news?
We took control of the property, regained lawful access, replaced the locks, and shut the operation down

We also boarded up a conveniently smashed window to make sure no one tries to reopen for “business” again anytime soon

It’s a great reminder that empty properties don’t stay empty for long if they’re not properly secured — and that changing the locks doesn’t magically make it yours

Here is a recent job carried out for one of our customers in Kent

Following a recent site survey and inspection of a conservatory roof, we identified that one of the shaped double glazed units had failed and required a replacement unit to restore the roof’s weatherproof integrity and appearance

Scope of Works

* Supply and installation of 1x bespoke shaped toughened sealed glass unit, manufactured to the existing dimensions

* Carefully remove the failed glazed unit and disposal of waste materials

* Preparation and cleaning of the existing glazing channels and framework

* Application of specialist low-modulus glazing silicone and weatherproof sealing systems to ensure a watertight finish

* Reinstallation and adjustment of glazing caps/trims where required

* Full inspection of surrounding seals and glazing components during installation

* Site left clean and tidy upon completion
