3800 is looking for an experienced digital designer to help shape the websites and digital products they create for their clients, and for 3800 itself.

This is a broad, hands-on role for someone who loves to be involved in every step of the process.

You’ll work across research, UX, UI, interaction and full Figma designs, taking projects from early thinking through to launch and working closely with developers along the way.

We’re not a high-volume digital agency. We’d rather make a handful of genuinely brilliant websites a year than churn through one every few weeks. That gives us the space to understand the organisation behind the website, the people using it, and what the experience really needs to do — then push the work as far as we can.

You’ll have a lot of ownership here. You’ll be expected to bring your own thinking, challenge ideas, shape the approach and care about the details right through to the finished product.

And as 3800 grows, there’s a clear opportunity to help define how we approach digital work and, over time, lead that capability.

Anyone looking for a mentor here is Axel McHugh from 🇬🇧 I’m a London-based Irish designer with over a decade of agency and consulting experience, working across brand identity, visual systems, and creative strategy. Currently working at Droga5, previously at the likes of Pentagram, Mother Design, Koto and Youtube Creative Studio. At Droga5 I lead design work for global clients, most recently a large-scale rebrand for a major European financial institution, developing the full visual language from strategic platform through to campaign ex*****on. My practice sits at the intersection of rigorous craft and conceptual thinking. Over the years I’ve built identities, visual systems, and brand narratives for clients ranging from early-stage ventures to multinational organisations. As a mentor, I work best with students and designers who are serious about the quality of their output and career trajectory, people who want to close the gap between what they can see and what they can make. Whether you’re finding your visual voice, developing your portfolio, or navigating the jump from ex*****on to strategy, I can help you think more clearly and work more deliberately. I’d especially like to work with ethnic minorities and BIPOC audiences.

.work is a creative studio operating between Los Angeles and New York, building brands from the ground up — always led by concept and feeling, grounded in rigorous design.

With a team of around 20, they’ve shaped and redefined brands across consumer spaces, working with names like A24, BBC, Grindr, Fly By Jing, Recess, and David.

They’re currently looking for a Design Director to lead brand thinking and creative ex*****on — someone who can define vision, guide teams, and translate strategy into work that holds up in the real world.

This role sits at the intersection of taste, leadership, and clarity. It requires deep experience in branding, confidence in presenting directly to clients, and the ability to oversee multiple projects without losing attention to detail. The focus isn’t on imposing a signature style, but on shaping each project into its most distinct and committed version.

Beyond the work itself, the role plays a key part in the studio’s culture — mentoring designers, contributing to hiring and reviews, and helping maintain the level of craft the studio is known for.

They’re looking for someone with 6–10+ years in a similar agency environment, a strong portfolio across CPG, digital, and web, and the ability to lead both creatively and collaboratively.

In short: clients trust them with their brands — and they’re looking for someone the team can trust with the work.

- Visual craft: Strong foundation in brand identity design, including color, typography, iconography, motion language, and photography, with a keen eye for how each element contributes to a cohesive whole.

- Systems thinking: Ability to build a visual language that scales: one the brand can extend beyond initial applications, and one the client can confidently carry forward across channels.

- Typography sensitivity: Deep appreciation for type, the ability to use it expressively across different tones of messaging, and openness to collaborating with Type Designers.

- Web fluency: Solid understanding of how design translates to the browser; responsiveness, accessibility, grids, and interactions, with the ability to make identity decisions that hold up well on websites and apps.
