lford TOMCC members gave a special send-off to one of our longest serving members, Dave Edwards. Dave was a keen motorcyclist and had a number of Triumphs, and sadly passed way at the age of 81. Ilford TOMCC provided an es**rt for the cortege to Dave's house, and then onto the cemetery at Parndon Wood. I know from speaking to them that Dave's family were touched as to how many members, both past and present, turned up. It was quite an impressive sight to see so many bikes following and the members did a sterling job of safely stopping traffic allow us all to keep together (special thanks to Dave Bussell for herding us all along). Dave's widow, Hazel, gave an account of his life, and his children and siblings also gave readings. I only knew Dave for a few years, but I am honoured to have known him, as I know all our members were. RIP Dave - we'll miss the Wagon Wheels and Kit-Kats and your depth of knowledge about all things motorbike. Words by Branch Secretary Aidan Sayers
