One project needs one accountable team.

At Simply Easy Refurbs, we take responsibility for the whole refurbishment, from design and build through to completion.

We do not just manage contractors. We keep the accountability with one company, so the project is handled as a whole rather than in separate parts.

That is what helps make renovating feel less risky.

Loft extensions need careful planning.

In London, the work before a loft extension starts can be just as important as the build itself.

Access is often limited on narrow streets, which can make deliveries and crane lifts more complicated. Neighbouring properties are usually close by too, so party walls and keeping disruption to a minimum have to be considered early.

Planning permission can also shape what is possible, depending on the property and local regulations. With smaller or unusually shaped plots, we also have to think carefully about how every bit of space can be used well.

Good planning helps keep everything moving smoothly and reduces the chance of surprises later on.

When something goes wrong, it matters.

For us, caring is not something we say after the fact. It has to show in how we behave when there is a problem.

If something goes wrong, we do not hide from it. We deal with it, take responsibility, and focus on fixing it properly.

That is where the difference is felt.

The scale is starting to show.

We’re at our new South London loft conversion, where the structural steels have arrived and the size of the project is becoming much clearer. This loft is around 10 metres wide and 3 metres high, with a continuous ridge beam and other steels weighing roughly 1.5 tonnes.

Handling steels of this size safely takes careful planning. The floor beam has been spliced into two sections, 6 metres and 4 metres, ready to be bolted together on site.

From Tuesday to Thursday, we’ve been preparing the bearing plates, supporting the front section of the roof, and cutting back the rear roof so everything is ready for the crane lift. Once the steels are in position, the loft structure will really start to take shape.

Scale needs more than manpower.

Completing over a hundred projects across London last year meant every day had to be managed properly. At that level, it is not just about having people on site. It takes clear systems, consistent communication, and project management experience to keep each refurbishment moving.

Our director remains actively involved across all projects, giving that hands-on leadership needed to keep decisions clear and work progressing.

Accountability changes the whole project.

When we handle a project, we also handle the team that will be onsite. That means if issues come up, we take responsibility for resolving them without creating unnecessary problems for the client.

The difference is in the risk. With a traditional builder, the client can be left carrying that risk. If a builder disappears or multiple contractors are involved, the problem often lands back with the client.

Our model is built around being the single accountable entity. We don’t just manage the project, we guarantee it.

One of the biggest frustrations during a build is not knowing what is happening, especially when it is your own home and a significant investment.

Construction shouldn’t feel confusing.

We started Simply Easy Refurbs because we kept seeing the same issues in construction: homeowners chasing updates, dealing with too many different people, and feeling unsure about what was happening during their project.

From day one, the aim has been to make home improvements feel more structured. That means clear communication, proper processes, and real people involved throughout the job.

One of our co-founders still oversees projects day to day, so there is accountability at the top and clients are not left in the dark while work is going on.
