We're excited to share a recent planning approval in Twickenham! 🎉

For this home in Kilmorey Gardens, we designed a rear extension and loft conversion to give our client more from the space they already have: a sociable kitchen, dining and seating area, an easy connection to the garden, and a new bedroom with an en-suite.

Thoughtful changes to the layout and materials that complement the existing house helped turn those ambitions into an approved scheme.

A conservatory and garage, reimagined for everyday life. We’re pleased to share this approved project in Long Ditton! 🎉

Our design brings the kitchen and dining space together, with a rooflight above and doors to the garden. The garage becomes a guest room or office, utility and boot room — useful space shaped around our client’s needs.

We built on an earlier approved scheme, refining the layout while keeping the extension in proportion with the house. Elmbridge granted permission on 10 July 2026.

Some people struggle to choose between white and off-white. This Kensington owner went in a slightly different direction. 🍬

A candy-striped façade, a council repainting order and a trip to the High Court later… the stripes won.

We’ve had our own, less stripy disagreement in Highgate. A client in a conservation area cleaned their grey-black front bricks back to their original yellow. The council wanted them stained dark again and raised the prospect of enforcement.

Yes. Clean the bricks… then make them look dirty again.

We argued that the cleaning wasn’t a material change, and the council ultimately decided not to pursue enforcement.

The Kensington case is a useful reminder: enforcement needs a proper legal basis. The High Court rejected using a maintenance notice to control a lawful colour scheme.

Not everyone’s taste. Still a sweet victory.

A brighter place to cook, dine and spend time together. We’re delighted to share this planning approval in Berkhamsted! 🎉

For our client’s home on Greenway, we designed a rear extension to replace the conservatory and bring the kitchen, dining and living spaces together. Three rooflights and doors onto the patio help make light and the garden part of everyday life.

With the home in a conservation area, getting the details right mattered. Matching materials, considered roof forms and early advice from the council helped shape a design that respects the terrace’s character.

Dacorum granted approval on 26 August 2026. We wish our clients every success with their next steps!
