Hi, it looks like there's a little more to the left that would need to be carefully removed, it depends on how sound the rest of the wall is, not necessarily if it sounds hollow because many walls can sound hollow when you tap them. If you can bang the wall surrounding the hole as hard as possible with the side of your fist and it remains intact, then filling the hole with bonding plaster should help secure it around the edges, if of course more falls away when you do this it would have to be removed making it a bigger job. Never pull on the edges, as each piece you pull will loosen the next until your whole wall could end up back to brick, which would cost you substantially more. Hope this helps. Eric
