Shifting Landscapes: beautiful, moving and free immersive exhibition presented by Emergence Magazine, at Bargehouse, Oxo Tower Wharf London. Bunk off work and go witness the last sanctuaries of real 'silence' in the US or rare nightingale song battles in a slice of Surrey woodland. Really magical stuff. On until Sun 10th Dec. Walk in tickets on the door.
This series of aerial photos by Gheorghe Popa, titled Poisioned Beauty, taken of a forcibly abandoned village in Romania where toxic waste from a nearby copper mine has slowly swallowed up buildings (you can just see a church spire in pic3). Copper is considered key to the renewable energy transition but mining it can devaste natural landscapes.
