🌟 Another Project Completed for a Returning Client
We’ve recently completed a lighting upgrade for a returning client at a local school, improving safety and visibility around their main entrance canopy.
The installation included new underground ducting and SWA cabling from the existing lamp post circuit, galvanised steel conduit containment throughout the shelter, LSF singles cabling to each point, two slimline 5ft LED linear fittings mounted neatly to the underside of the canopy. A local time‑delay switch was selected & installed to provide controlled lighting to prevent the lights being inadvertently left on , the lights will stay on for a preset duration before automatically switching off, and all works were fully tested and inspected in accordance with BS7671:2018+A3:2024, with certification issued on completion.
The lighting operates from an existing photocell‑controlled circuit, meaning the canopy lights can only be activated during dark hours.
All works were carried out outside school hours, with DBS‑checked engineers and full RAMS provided to ensure a safe and disruption‑free installation.

Another string to the bow — I’ve now achieved the City & Guilds 2921‑34 qualification: Requirements for the Design & Installation of Domestic & Small Commercial EV Charging Installations.
This strengthens our capability as the industry moves toward advanced smart‑energy solutions such as:
