Well the big day is almost here.

2025 seems to have flown by, not sure if that’s me getting to nearly 50 or because it was busy both professionally and personally.

True story time.

My client is a building contractor in Newcastle. The project I priced was a double side extension and single story rear extension. Internal alterations, a lot of steel supports and groundwork’s.

The cost was £178k

The client returned with feed back.

Quote 1 -£90k
Quote 2 - £195k
Quote 3 - £184k
The ours £178k

The client was going to go with the £90k quote as they thought the others were ripping them off!!

Knowing what a project should cost is vital before making a decision. You could not get the Labour and materials for £90k. Can you imagine what the quality would have been like.

Wow, its gone from steady April to Manic May.

Latest projects are
Bangor - new warehouse priced and looking to enter into negotiations for my client to secure.
Durham and Newcastle - a number of extensions secured.
Edinburgh and Dundee - a number of extensions secured.
Joinery works across the North West - secured.
Conversions of old buildings into new residential flats secured across the UK.

All of these works are being undertaken with good profit margins.
