Another job completed during a recent visit 👍

While I was fixing the skirting, the customer also asked me to install scotia beading in their kitchen and bathroom to give everything a clean, finished look.

I measured, cut, and fitted the beading neatly around the edges, making sure all joints were tight and tidy. The nail heads were set below the surface and filled, then everything was caulked for a smooth, seamless finish ready for painting.

It’s a small detail, but it makes a big difference to the overall look of the rooms 👌

All left clean and tidy afterwards as always.

Before & after from a job last week 👍

One of my regular customers asked me to take a look at this section of skirting that had come away from the wall, leaving a noticeable gap and pulling some paint and plaster away with it.

They initially wanted the gap filled, but I advised that the better and longer-lasting solution would be to secure it back to the wall properly, repair the plaster, and then re-caulk along the top for a clean finish.

I fixed it back using screws, made sure the heads were sunk below the surface, then filled over them to leave a smooth, flush finish.

Once that was done, I re-caulked along the top and made sure everything was cleaned up afterwards, including vacuuming any dust and debris from the work.

The customer is planning to repaint, which will make the repair completely disappear.

Really pleased with how this one turned out, a big improvement from before 👍

Good morning everyone,

My name’s Stephen, and I run Beard Domestic Services. I started 2 years ago, growing purely through word of mouth. Since then, I’ve built up a great base of lovely repeat customers, ongoing maintenance work with a property management company, and regular repairs for local landlords.
