💧 Drainage & Lawn Transformation 🌱

A recent job completed for a customer who was having serious problems with this section of lawn holding water and flooding.

Being a new-build property, we found the ground underneath was mainly poor-quality, heavy clay soil with plenty of stone and rubble, not ideal for drainage or a healthy lawn!

We:

🔹 Removed the existing turf and removed the poor clay soil
🔹 Dug a new drainage channel around the affected area
🔹 Installed perforated drainage pipe surrounded with gravel
🔹 Wrapped the drainage system in membrane to help prevent it becoming clogged with soil
🔹 Ran the drainage around the back of the shed and into an existing stoned area
🔹 Replaced the poor soil with 70/30 rootzone to improve drainage and provide a much better growing medium
🔹 Levelled and prepared the area
🔹 Finished it off with fresh new turf 🌱

A lot of work underneath the surface that you won’t see in the finished picture, but that’s the important part! The aim wasn’t just to make the lawn look better, it was to tackle the underlying drainage problem and give the new turf a much better foundation going forward.

A satisfying garden maintenance transformation! 🌿✂️

This garden had become a little overgrown, so it was time to get it back under control.

✅ Grass cut and brought back to a neat finish after being left to grow long.
✅ Hedges trimmed and shaped to tidy up the front of the property.
✅ General tidy-up to leave everything looking clean, fresh and well maintained.

It’s amazing what a regular bit of maintenance can do to completely change the appearance of a garden.

What a transformation in just 6 weeks! 🌱

This lawn was renovated in the middle of May, and after its second cut the results are really starting to show.

Here’s what was carried out:
✅ Double-pass scarification to remove moss and thatch
✅ Lawn aeration to relieve compaction and improve root growth
✅ Overseeding with quality grass seed
✅ Top dressing to improve seed-to-soil contact and level the surface

With the right preparation, patience and ongoing care, the lawn has gone from tired and patchy to thick, healthy and vibrant.

This one involved much more than your standard tidy-up. Overgrown borders, self-seeded plants, unwanted shrubs and years of build-up were stripped right back to give the garden a fresh start and bring the space back under control.

✂️ Extensive pruning and reduction
🌱 Removal of unwanted plants and overgrowth
🧹 Borders cleared and opened back up
🌳 Shrubs reshaped and tidied

A recent garden maintenance visit completed 🌿

This garden had started to become a bit overgrown, with shrubs and hedges needing cutting back and tidying to open the space up again. After some trimming, shaping and general maintenance, the whole garden is looking much cleaner and easier to manage.

Regular maintenance really does make all the difference in keeping a garden looking its best throughout the year ✅

Garden tidy-up completed 🌿

This one was a bit untidy when I arrived, shrubs and hedges needed a trim, and the patio had built up with weeds. After a good maintenance session, everything has been neatened up and brought back under control.

This was one of my favourite jobs from last year, a complete back garden transformation from start to finish.

What started as an overgrown, uneven space full of rubble and weeds has been turned into a clean, usable garden the customer can actually enjoy.
