**Another big plastering job completed in Chorlton!**

A look back at a project we worked on in April for builder Ayad, skimming out two-bedroom flats as part of the renovation.

Plenty of walls and ceilings to get through on this one, including some awkward angles around the windows and sloping ceilings.

A proper team effort with myself, John Roberts and Curtis Buckley getting stuck in and making sure everything was finished to a good standard.

The photos show the job from the plasterboard preparation stage through to the freshly skimmed walls and ceilings.

Always good to see a project coming together, especially when there's a decent amount of plastering involved!

Not every job has to be a big one!

A little ceiling repair for Sheila after a leak from above had left part of the ceiling stained and warped.

Rather than disturbing the whole ceiling, we cut out the damaged section, fitted a new piece of plasterboard, prepared the area and skimmed it into the existing ceiling.
A relatively small repair, but one that needed doing properly to get the ceiling ready for decorating again.
And, as you can see from the photos, Sheila made sure I was well looked after with a brew and biscuits while I worked!
You can't beat customers like that.

If you've had a leak that's left damaged plasterboard or plaster behind, give AMO Plastering Services a shout. No job has to be a massive one.

Not every plastering project starts at the beginning.
This property in Urmston is a good example.

The customer, Matt, had already had plastering work carried out, but unfortunately the job hadn't gone to plan and we were asked to come in and get the project back on track.

That meant working with a mixture of existing surfaces, partially completed work and areas that needed further preparation.

In the living room, we made good the walls and skimmed throughout, including carefully feathering the new work into the existing vaulted ceiling.

We also tackled the hall, stairs and landing, making good where required before skimming the various areas to achieve a consistent finish.

Remedial work can often require more thought than starting from scratch. You need to understand what you're working with, decide what can be retained and make sure the new work integrates properly with what's already there.

Another Urmston property ready to move on to the next stage of its renovation.

A full house re-skim in Urmston.

Back in April we were over in Urmston for landlady Angela, a long-standing customer who we’ve completed a number of jobs for over the years.

This time it was a much bigger one – a full house re-skim, working alongside Curtis and Martin to get the property sorted from top to bottom.

Hallways, stairs, landings, bedrooms and more – plenty of walls and ceilings to get through!

Jobs of this size take organisation, teamwork and a fair amount of plaster, but the end result is a property with fresh, smooth surfaces ready for the next stage of its refurbishment.

Always good to be asked back by an existing customer too. Repeat business is something we never take for granted.

Need anything from a single wall or ceiling through to a complete property re-skim? Give AMO Plastering Services a shout.

Making good after a new window installation in Rochdale.

We were over in Rochdale working alongside Jay, a window and door contractor, following the installation of this new window.

Once the new window was in place, the surrounding area needed properly making good rather than simply covering over what was left behind.

The area was prepared, plasterboarded where required, bonded and then skimmed to give a clean finish around the new window.

It's the sort of job that can make a big difference to the finished installation. New window in, surrounding plasterwork sorted, and the room ready for decorating.

If you've recently had new windows or doors fitted and need the surrounding plasterwork making good, get in touch with AMO Plastering Services.

Back working for a returning customer in Hale.

Melissa has used AMO Plastering Services for a number of jobs over the years, and this time we were brought in following damp issues affecting these walls.

The cause of the damp had already been rectified, so our job was to get the affected areas properly prepared and ready for a fresh finish.

As you can see from the photos, this involved more than simply putting a skim over the existing walls. Preparation and boarding were needed in areas before everything could be brought together and skimmed.

Another room given a fresh start and ready for the next stage.

It's always appreciated when customers come back to us for further work – thanks again, Melissa.

Altered the doorway? Now for the finishing touches.

A recent job for Nadeem in Bramhall where alterations to a door opening had left plastering work that needed making good.

AMO Plastering Services carried out the necessary repairs and plastering around the opening, getting everything neat and ready for decorating.

We don't just take on full rooms and large renovation projects. Smaller plastering repairs and making-good work are all part of the service too.

Had a doorway moved, widened or altered? Or perhaps other building work has left areas that need repairing?

Give AMO Plastering Services a shout.

What a difference a full skim makes.

This was Damo's dining room in Bramhall, completed by AMO Plastering Services back in April.

After the necessary preparation work, we skimmed the complete room – including that sizeable ceiling – to take the old, tired surfaces back to a smooth, consistent finish.

Swipe through the photos and you can really see the transformation from where we started.

Now it's a proper blank canvas ready for decorating and the next stage of the renovation.
