🍰🍪This weekend at the larder! 🍪🍰
We have cake and biscuits available to order for collection and some items at the self serve honesty stand if you’re passing by.
It’s that time of year when the girls do slow down a little with their laying, so it’s best to message us if you want would like eggs for collection as priority will go to orders before we put eggs out on the stand 👍🏻
I only have one slot which has opened up for Sunday bread collection, so message me to grab it for a white or brown farmhouse loaf.

🪚💨Honesty stand closed for repairs💨🔨
We hope you’ve all stayed safe during the strong winds. Storm Amy decided that the roof of the honesty stand would look better somewhere else, so the stand is closed until we can get it repaired and safe to use.
Cluck & Collect is unaffected, egg and bakery orders can still be collected from the porch shelves. We have cake and biscuits available, so if you would like to collect anything over the weekend, just drop us a message 👍🏻

Your favourite cakes, biscuits and bread are all back on the list, and there may be an update if the apple & pecan focaccia experiment works when I bake it up tomorrow after tonight's prove!

🥚Cluck & Collect Service🥚
Since opening the honesty stand, our eggs have proved very popular! We’ve been hard at work over the last few weeks building new coops, roosts and nesting boxes so that the chicks we hatched in the summer can all join the main flock. They won’t be laying for a little while yet, but we have also added some new hens, including Cream Legbars (laying blue eggs) and Copper Marans (laying dark brown eggs).
We have small flock of hybrid and pure breed chickens, laying a wide range of coloured eggs. They have unfettered access to our paddocks, woodland, hedgerows and all too often, the garden and greenhouse! Adding new hens to a flock takes a lot of careful planning, but we’re looking forward to see how our new additions settle in.
To help you get hold of freshly laid eggs when you need them, we have set up a “Cluck & Collect” service! All you need to do is to message us with your egg order, let us know when you want to collect them and you can pay cash on collection or by electronic payment when you pick up your order at the Cluck & Collect point, under the porch by the house where they'll be safe and dry. It’s best to let us know the day before, so you have the best chance of getting the amount you need. We will still put extras out on the stand for anyone passing by. I hope we’ll be able to increase egg availability as our new hens get integrated into the flock and our summer chicks should be coming up to point of lay in mid-December.
We are chuffed that so many of you are loving the beautiful eggs our girls lay! Thanks for your support and hope to see you soon 🐓🥚

🍞🍪 Bakery orders are open 🍪🍞
We’ve been regularly selling out of bakery produce each week, so we’re now offering order & collection! Each week we’ll share a menu, this week’s is below. All you have to do is to message or email us with your order and your preferred collection day, we’ll let you know what time your order will be ready to collect. You can send us your payment or leave your cash when you come to pick up, and we have a new collection point by the house to keep your orders safe and dry!
🍞 Limited loaves available this week, so please do order early if you’d like freshly baked bread!
🍪 After multiple requests for Rocky Road, it’s on the menu! I am experimenting with two other cookie recipes this week, so pre-order customers will also get some free testers for feedback.
🥚 PRE ORDER YOUR EGGS! Eggs are usually sold out before 10:00 each day, so if you want to guarantee you can get a box, please message us! You can still just pay by cash on collection, but orders will be fulfilled before we put boxes out on the stand. We do have plans to expand the flock - look out for an update on that this weekend!

COMING SOON: some amazing preserves, including chilli jam from our bumper crop of chillies this year, chutney made with our home grown pears which are just coming up for harvest now, and we are working out what is needed to be able to sell our homemade sloe gin 🌶️🍐🍎🫐

The weekend is here! Congratulations to everyone who started their new school year this week 🥳 (and to the parents who made it through to the start of term 🙌🏻)
🥚🐓Eggs are stocked up on the honesty stand, as well as:
🧁 Muffins (choose from carrot, Toffee caramel or orange choc chip)
🍰 Loaf cake (stem ginger or lemon curd)
It’s £1.50 per muffin or slice, or take 4 for £5.00.
We will also have some free samples of our bread, as we’ve been trialling new recipes. There is no sourdough this week (no stretch & folds, on doctors’s orders!) but we have some traditionally yeasted breads for you to try.
If you like what you taste, you can pre-order bread for collection next weekend 🍞

We try to make sure every box has a mix of different eggs in it - this box includes green and blue eggs, and the beautiful dark brown egg laid by one of our Black Copper Maran hens 🐓

A lovely sunny Saturday, and the girls have laid some absolute stunners today!
Our spring-hatched pullets are starting to lay more regularly now, so hopefully we can keep up with demand, as eggs have been selling out very quickly each day!
Thank you to everyone who stops by the stand - we really appreciate your custom, and we hope you enjoy your rainbow eggs from our very happy hens 🐓🥚

Happy Monday! A big thank you to everyone who has stopped to buy eggs and produce over the weekend - once again, eggs and veggies all sold out! 🥚🥒🌶️
We are keeping today’s eggs for our bakery orders this week, but the stand will be restocked tomorrow with beautiful eggs like these!

🥚Egg update!🥚
Our March hatched hens have started laying their first eggs over the past few days, and there are some beautiful cream, blue and olive coloured eggs going into boxes this week!
The self-serve honesty stand will be restocked with eggs from tomorrow morning. Drop us a line on [email protected] if you’d like to order eggs for collection 🐓
