CONGRATULATIONS to Dave, our intrepid road sweeper operator, who has been recognised by Galliford Try Infrastructure for all his quality work, cooperation and commitment to keeping the roads clear on his section of the Lincoln Eastern Bypass. WE’RE FORS SILVER CERTIFIED!

We are pleased to announce our continuing accreditation to the FORS ‘SILVER’ standard.

FORS stands for ‘Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme’ and relates to road-going vehicles over 3.5 tonnes. To maintain the ‘SILVER’ standard you need to pass the audit assessment undertaken by FORS each year.

But what does this mean for our customers, workforce and the general public?

By being FORS Silver registered this confirms we are achieving exemplary levels of best practice in:
• ROAD SAFETY
• FUEL EFFICIENCY
• VEHICLE EMISSIONS
• OPERATIONS

A BIG SHOUT goes out to Jane - our internal health and safety auditor! Congratulations on passing your auditors exam for ISO 45001. ISO 45001 will replace OHSAS 18001, our existing management system standard for Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S). Jane says ‘the classroom based course provided by ACT Associates Ltd was intense but really informative and the course presenter David Smith was excellent. I now look forward to putting into practice these skills to help the Company continually improve their health and safety standards.’ Well done Jane!

It’s time to unveil an updated livery on our Volvo FH13 tractor unit! While we wanted to maintain our distinctive yellow vehicle body and blue roof design, we also wanted to modernise the whole look but without losing our established identity. To achieve this transformation we used vehicle wrapping. While not going too wild for a first attempt, this is the result. Let us know what you think! After 22 years of loyal service with the Company Alan, alias Albertoe, has now retired (but we understand the famous cucumber is to be handed on!!). It has been an eventful time and an immense pleasure working with Alan and we cannot thank him enough for all that he has done. Over the years Albertoe has made a lasting impression with a lot of our Clients through his reliability, quality of work and his willingness to help out; it is much appreciated and we shall all miss working with him. Not to worry though, we will keep in touch and stalk him on Facebook. We all wish Alan a stress free retirement full of enjoyment. Remember, retirement adds 5 days to your weekend … ENJOY IT!
