This pond became heavily silted and overgrown, so we carried out a full drain-down, removed the built-up sludge and debris, cleaned and reset the liner, and reinstated the pump system. The client wanted to keep the established moss around the edges, which we carefully preserved while restoring the pond itself.

After years of neglect this pond was given a new lease of life with a full clean out!

Why do we suggest a full clean out? Over time, leaves, fish waste and organic matter settle at the bottom. This sludge then breaks down anaerobically, producing harmful gases (like hydrogen sulfide) and lowering water quality. A clean out removes this "muck" and resets the pond eco system.
