🌪️💨 60–80mph winds this Sunday!

Just on my way home from Wickes, driving down Oxcliffe Road in Morecambe…

Think the wind’s picking up a bit! 🐄

Stay safe out there, everyone!

“When people ask me what I love about Morecambe…” ❤️🌊

Sometimes you don’t need words. Just look around.

Born and raised here, and I’ll never get tired of these views.

There’s no place quite like home. 💙

👋A Little Introduction to My New Customers & Followers!

I thought I’d take a moment to introduce myself properly to those who don’t know me.

I’m Brian, the face behind BTC Window Cleaning. 🪟

I’m Morecambe born and raised, a former Army lad, a husband and a dad of two boys.

Before starting BTC Window Cleaning, I spent 22 years working as a chef. 👨‍🍳 I enjoyed cooking, but the long hours, evenings and weekends meant missing out on valuable time with my family.

Eventually, I decided it was time for a change, so I swapped my chef whites for window cleaning !

What started as a little business alongside my chef job has now become my full-time living.

I’m a one-man business. No big fancy van, no massive setup, just me, my car, my backpack and my trusty water-fed pole!

One thing I'm particularly proud of is that since starting BTC Window Cleaning, I've never knocked on a single door or posted a flyer through anyone's letterbox looking for work.
Everything I've built has come through word of mouth, recommendations, social media and people seeing me out and about working.
To me, that means more than anything. Knowing that people are happy enough with my work to recommend me to their friends, family and neighbours is something I'll never take for granted. 💙

I’m not trying to be the biggest window cleaning company around. I just want to earn an honest living, do a good job, look after my customers and enjoy having a better work-life balance.

I cover Morecambe, Lancaster, Heysham and surrounding areas, cleaning windows for some lovely people and businesses.

I’m fully insured and DBS checked, and I take pride in providing a friendly, reliable service.

You’ll also notice I enjoy a bit of humour on here, supporting other local businesses and occasionally cleaning a dirty street sign when I spot one!

The support I’ve received since starting BTC WINDOW CLEANING has been incredible. From recommendations and lovely reviews to people simply liking and sharing my posts, it all helps a small local family-run business like mine.

To all my new customers, thank you for choosing me. And to all my new followers, welcome! 💙

And to those who’ve supported me from the very beginning, I haven’t forgotten you either!🫶🏻

Thanks for taking the time to read a little bit about me.

Well, I certainly wasn’t expecting the response I’ve had from my post! 😂

My inbox has been going mad with messages and requests for quotes, so firstly, a massive thank you to everyone who’s been in touch! It’s really appreciated. 💙

I’m out visiting family today and enjoying a bit of Sunday family time, so please bear with me if you’re waiting for a reply.

I’ll be getting back to everyone later once I’m home.

Thanks again for all the support, and I hope you’re all having a lovely Sunday! 😊

😡 DOES ANYONE HAVE A NAME FOR THIS MAN? 😡

PLEASE SHARE — I CAN’T BELIEVE WHAT HE’S DONE TO MY HOUSE!

Booked him to clean the windows. Seemed nice enough. Friendly, polite, turned up with all his equipment.

BUT LOOK WHAT HE’S DONE…

🪟 Cleaned off the bird mess I’d been trying to ignore for weeks.

🧽 Washed all the frames and sills — apparently they weren’t meant to be that colour.

🚪 Even cleaned the front door and its frame.

AND THE WORST PART?

He’s coming back in four weeks to do it all again.

Absolutely disgraceful.

⚠️ BE WARNED! He's travelling around the Morecambe ,Lancaster & Heysham areas removing dirt from people's windows, without a single ounce of remorse!

Anyway... I'm Brian , and yes, that's me in the picture! 😂👋

🌧️ RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY… OR DOES IT MATTER? 😂🪟

As we head into the wetter winter months, we thought we'd clear up a little misconception about window cleaning in the rain!

We often hear people say, “What's the point in having your windows cleaned when it's raining? They'll only get dirty again!”

Well, not necessarily! 😉

💧 A little light drizzle isn't a problem for us.

We use a professional pure-water, water-fed pole system to clean your windows. The water is purified to remove the minerals and impurities found in ordinary tap water, allowing your windows to dry naturally without the usual water marks.

🌦️ So, if there's a bit of drizzle in the air on your cleaning day, there's generally no reason why we can't crack on as normal!

In fact, rain doesn't automatically make freshly cleaned windows dirty again. Marks often appear when rainwater runs over dirt, dust and grime that's already on the glass, frames and sills.

🌧️ BUT… there's a difference between a bit of drizzle and it absolutely LASHING it down! 😂

We're not daft! We're not going to battle through torrential rain or unsafe weather just for the sake of it. If conditions aren't suitable, we'll make the sensible decision.

So please don't assume your window clean is a waste of money just because the weather forecast shows a few showers. We're in Britain, after all… we'd never get anything done if we waited for sunshine! 🇬🇧🤣

Clean windows don't need blue skies! 🪟✨

Thanks, as always, for supporting our family business. ❤️
