Another smart upgrade completed 📹🔔

Installed this customer-supplied Blink doorbell camera over the weekend, replacing an existing mains-powered doorbell.

To keep everything working seamlessly, I reconfigured the wiring so the original internal doorbell chime still operates alongside the new smart system, giving the customer the best of both worlds: modern security and that familiar chime sound.

Neat install, fully tested, and ready to go ✅

Simple fix: swapped the modules and kept the original brass switches 👌

Not one I’d come across before, but it worked really well centred over the dining table.

Loose conductors.
Connector blocks crammed into the back box.
Earthing not correctly terminated.

It might have been “working” but it wasn’t acceptable.

All rectified, secured properly and fully tested 👍⚡

Electrical work should be safe and compliant, not just functioning.
