The sunshine certainly helped show off the progress on this first floor extension.

With the stud work in place, you can really start to see the layout of the new space and how the extension is coming together. Every section is carefully measured and constructed to provide a solid framework for the next stages of the build.

It's always satisfying to see the structure taking shape.

A look back at this week's progress as the roof construction on this extension continues.

The structure is now reaching its final stages, bringing the project one step closer to being watertight and ready for the next phase of the build.

It's been another productive week on site, and we'll continue sharing progress as this renovation and extension project moves forward.

Constructing a scarf joint to create the full length required for this ridge beam.

This method allows two sections of timber to be joined together while maintaining strength and alignment, ready for installation as part of the roof structure.

A small part of the overall build, but an important stage in the roof construction process.

This week we'll be completing the roof structure on this extension project.

As you can see we've almost completed our smaller pitches, so the bulk of this week will be spent on the larger pitche at the far end of the extension.

We'll be sharing progress on site throughout the week as the roof construction takes shape.📸

Take a look at the structure of our internal gutter - does the same job as a normal gutter except it's built in to the roof itself and will be hidden later by the stone facade.
