Busy doing DIY and gardening this bank-holiday weekend?
If you are using electrical appliances check cables and wires for wear and tear and plugs and sockets for damage.
Do regular checks of plugs and sockets for burn marks, sounds of 'arcing' (buzzing or crackling), fuses blowing, circuit-breakers tripping or if it feels too hot to touch:

❤️❤️🕯️🥂
Here’s a few tips for all you wannabe Marvin Gayes or Barry Whites who are hoping to
Let’s get it on

Valentine's Day – the one day a year where candles aren't considered a fire hazard, but rather, a symbol of romance! Forget the harsh glare of regular lighting; it's time to dim those bulbs and let the mood lighting take center stage.

Picture this: You and your significant other, bathed in a warm, soft glow. It's like you've both been cast as the stars in your own romantic movie – cue the slow-motion scene of feeding each other chocolate-covered strawberries.

Mood lighting is the boss of Valentine's Day. It swoops in to rescue awkward silences and turns them into tender moments. No one looks good under fluorescent lights; it's the undeniable truth. But under the gentle embrace of mood lighting, everyone becomes an instant Instagram model, in the making.

Let's talk about the flattering effects. Who needs Photoshop when you have the magic of dimmed lights? It's like a real-life Instagram filter, making you both look like you've just stepped out of a rom-com. Say goodbye to harsh shadows and hello to the illusion of eternal youth and undeniable charm.

Now, let's not forget the ambiance. Nothing says "I love you" more than a room lit with the soft glow of candles or fairy lights. It's the kind of atmosphere that makes even a frozen pizza feel like a gourmet dinner. And let's face it, the flicker of candlelight is the perfect distraction when you accidentally burn the dessert.

So there you have it – mood lighting is the unsung hero of Valentine's Day. It's the Cupid of decor, shooting arrows of warm, romantic vibes straight to your heart. So, this February 14th, turn down the lights, turn up the charm, and let the mood lighting work its magic on your love story.

You’re the first, my last,my everything ❤️❤️

"The Advantages of Installing an EV Charger at Home: A Convenient Shift in Charging Paradigm"

In recent years, the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) has surged, prompting a closer look at the charging infrastructure. While public charging stations are widely available, there are distinct benefits to having an EV charger at home instead of relying solely on charging at a garage.

1. **Convenience and Time Savings:**
Installing an EV charger at home eliminates the need to make frequent trips to public charging stations or rely on workplace charging facilities. This convenience translates into time savings, providing EV owners with the flexibility to charge their vehicles overnight or during downtime, ensuring a consistently charged battery.

2. **Cost Savings:**
Charging at home often proves to be more cost-effective than using public charging stations. Residential electricity rates are typically lower, in fact we are with Octopus energy ourselves and overnight charging is only 7.5p per kWh compared to 70p per kWh at a garage
In real terms that means a 80kwh battery from flat to fully charged would be £6 at home and £56 at a garage

3. **Customization and Control:**
Home EV chargers allow users to tailor the charging experience to their preferences. Owners can schedule charging during off-peak hours, take advantage of smart charging features, and monitor their vehicle's charging status from the comfort of their home. This level of control contributes to a seamless integration of EVs into daily routines.

4. **Avoiding Queue Times:**
Public charging stations, especially during peak hours, may experience congestion and queue times. With a home EV charger, users sidestep this issue entirely, ensuring immediate access to charging without any waiting periods.

5. **Increased Property Value:**
Homes equipped with EV charging infrastructure are becoming more attractive to potential buyers. Installing a home EV charger can enhance the property's value, as the demand for electric vehicles continues to rise.

6. **Reduced Environmental Impact:**
Charging at home enables users to take advantage of renewable energy sources, further reducing their carbon footprint. By utilizing solar panels or other clean energy options, EV owners can contribute to a more sustainable and eco-friendly transportation model.
Infact Zappi EV chargers have a setting on them that will only charge the car during the day when you’ve excess power going back to the grid

In conclusion, having an EV charger at home offers a range of benefits, from increased convenience and cost savings to environmental sustainability. As the world transitions towards a greener future, the integration of home charging solutions becomes a crucial aspect of promoting electric vehicle adoption.
