✔️ Corner beads locked in place
✔️ Walls primed with K Rend HR10 bonding aid
✔️ Solid scratch coat of K Rend HP12 applied and prepped

​Tomorrow, I’m off to Lowestoft for a training course to keep sharpening the craft. After that, it's straight back to Overstrand to lay down that crisp, fresh monocouche finish. Watch this space for the final transformation!

Early start today, getting on-site before the sun is fully up! 🌅

We’ve set the beadwork, applied the R12 bonding aid, and just finished laying down the HP12 base coat while fully embedding the reinforcing mesh. Giving this extension the rock-solid foundation it deserves—because nobody likes a mid-life crack crisis! Top coat coming up next. Stay tuned!

Great progress on our K Rend project over in Overstrand! 🛠️

Transforming another classic property with materials that actually let the walls breathe!
Recently, we’ve been splitting our time between Overstrand and Old Catton. For the Catton project, we stripped back the old, suffocating sand-and-cement plaster and rebuilt it properly in stages using a thermal basecoat paired with a fine-coat lime plaster—sourced straight from the legends at Anglia Lime . Absolute dream materials to work with, and the breathability benefits for an old property are second to none.

A big shoutout as always to Jason Crane for handling the radiator removal without turning the room into a indoor swimming pool! 💧🔧
