Exploring careers in the security industry.

Yesterday, Fion and Ali spent time with Public Services students in Lowestoft, introducing them to some of the different roles within the security industry.

It was an opportunity to share practical experience, give students a broader view of the profession and help them consider where their interests and skills could take them.

Security offers a range of career paths, with communication, sound judgement, teamwork and professional training playing an important part.

Connecting with students at this stage is something we value. Sharing experience can help people make informed choices about their next steps and discover opportunities they may not have considered.

Thank you to the college staff and students for welcoming us. It was a pleasure to contribute to their learning and give an insight into the industry we work in.

COFFEE & COMRADES | STRONGER TOGETHER

A brew. A conversation. A community.

Coffee & Comrades is run by Norwich City Community Sports Foundation at The Nest in Norwich. It brings veterans, serving personnel and families together for conversation, connection and peer support.

Norvic Security Group will be attending. We’re sharing this to raise awareness and encourage veterans who could benefit from a welcoming space and good company to come along.

The sessions take place on the last Friday of each month, from 10am to midday, at The Nest, Norwich.

Security professionals are often expected to be the calm person in a difficult situation. That responsibility can come with pressure, and nobody should feel they have to keep it to themselves.

Following our announcement about becoming Mindful Norfolk Champions, we want to encourage more open conversations about wellbeing in our industry.

Ask how your colleagues are doing. Make time to listen. Respect someone who says they need support.
