Martyn’s Law is not just about ticking a box.

For many venues, the gaps are often staff awareness, emergency planning and clear communication procedures.

Preparation does not need to be dramatic, but it does need to be practical.

For more details, follow the link where we discuss this in greater detail.

Detection dogs are becoming an increasingly important part of proactive security planning across the UK, not just at airports or major stadiums, but at venues, events and public spaces of all sizes.

Their role is not just detection.

Their presence can help deter hostile activity, reassure staff and visitors, support venue screening procedures and strengthen overall protective security measures.

Professional. Controlled. Effective.

At Norvic Security Group, we provide explosive detection dog support alongside wider protective security planning for venues, events, corporate environments and public spaces.

If your organisation would like to learn more about detection dog capability or arrange a demonstration, get in touch.

Most venues still think explosive detection dogs are only for airports, stadiums or major festivals.

That is starting to change.

With increasing focus on public safety and the rollout of Martyn's Law, venues are beginning to look more seriously at proactive security measures rather than reactive ones.

An explosive detection dog is not just about responding to threats.

Their presence can help:

• Deter hostile activity
• Reassure staff and visitors
• Support event screening and searches
• Add another visible layer to venue security
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to safety and compliance

This is not about fear.

It is about preparation, reassurance and responsible planning.

From hospitality venues and sports grounds to corporate events and public spaces, more organisations are now asking the question:

“Are we doing enough before an incident happens?”

At Norvic Security Group, we support venues with professional explosive detection dog capability alongside wider protective security planning.

We are currently offering free capability demonstrations and informal discussions for venues wanting to better understand how detection dogs can support their environment.

Question Time:

Where can an explosive detection dog add the most value at an event?

A. At the main entrance
B. Around car parks and external areas
C. Near bags, deliveries and packages
D. All of the above

A lot of people think detection dogs are only useful at the front gate.

In reality, they can support a wider security plan by helping check areas that may be overlooked, including vehicles, unattended items, delivery points, external spaces and high-footfall areas.

Explosive detection dogs are not there to scare the public.

They are there to provide a calm, professional and reassuring layer of safety.

For event organisers, venues, hotels, schools, faith venues and public gatherings, this can be a valuable part of protective security planning.

What would your answer be? Let me know below.

Massive respect to our guy Nathan, who stepped into the ring last night at Epic Studios for a charity boxing event with Tower Boxing 👊

Let’s be honest, not many people have the guts to do that.

Weeks of training, stepping in front of a crowd, and putting it all on the line, that takes serious courage. Win or lose, just getting in that ring is an achievement in itself.

We are incredibly proud of you, mate 💪
That is the kind of mindset we respect at Norvic Guards, pushing yourself, staying disciplined, and stepping up when it counts.

👏 Well done, Nathan
