Consumer unit change today. An old board that had serious signs of overheating !! Picked up at beginning of an EICR which shows the real importance of having an electrical inspection.

Also installed Qinetic ( wireless) switch in their kitchen… fab bit of technology

We’re gonna need a bigger van !! Out with the old and in with the new today.
Hopefully find this one a bit easier in a car park 😁

Busy week or so with variety of work. More importantly all indoors !!
Smok and heat alarm replacements. Did you know they need changing periodically ??
EICR’s, bathroom extractor fan swap after signs of over heating and consumer unit change!!

Some good jobs and more importantly great customers last week.
During a consumer unit upgrade some of the pre install tests were showing abnormal results. Bit of investigation and found a supply to a socket had been damaged and “repaired “!! Removed damaged cable and all now good!
Plenty of remedial repairs too….

Busy getting last few jobs in before Christmas.
Outdoor socket installed, major points for coffee and homemade mince pie
EICR on a property being purchased.. definite board upgrade required
Couple of light replacements in stables with an awesome onlooker!!

Some fault finding done this week. Sockets on ring main kept tripping RCD. Why is the problem always a junction box under a newly laid carpet in a newly decorated room 😬🤦🏻‍♂️
Cable replaced, all sorted and everything working perfectly again.

Busy few days this week.
Started off in the smallest loft in the world sorting an extractor out.
A day fault finding why an RCD kept tripping and today was another EICR with an unusual way of bonding a water pipe 🤣

Another Ohme EV charger installed yesterday. Managed to avoid the rain for most of the installation !!
Current monitoring installed along with data to future proof for potential solar panels.

Nice Ohme home pro EV charger installed this week. Non compatible RCD in consumer unit so a dedicated EV unit fitted for this customer. Current transformer ( CT ) clamp also fitted so charger can monitor how much load is being used by the house and only use what is safely available.
Plenty of coffee supplied and even a mince pie 🥧😋

A couple of EICR’s completed earlier this week for a landlord ready for his new tenants moving in.
Ensuring the electrical installation is in good condition is vital for the safety of tenants and also homeowners !!

Replacing track lighting in an art gallery, 1st fixing on a house renovation and much more..
