Tip for you.....

seems another cold front is coming our way.

Check your outside tap has been isolated inside (normally under your kitchen sink in the cupboard, a dedicated supply and isolation valve), then open up your outside tap so that any residual water runs out and leave the tap open. Try and insulate any external pipework and the tap to protect it a little. And remember your hosepipe that may still be attached.....remove it and drain it also, storing it away. After all, replacing your fully preventable water/ice damaged hoses and taps can get expensive!

We attended a number of burst taps in the last cold snap and it can cause alot of damage especially if you happen to not be there when it goes

We are extremely busy since our return from Christmas and New Year break....which seems a distant memory now🤪
We are currently having to concentrate our heating engineers on attending boiler breakdowns (on a daily basis) to ensure you are kept warm. We are installing new boilers both gas and oil where the boilers are not cost effective to repair owing to their age and too many costly parts required to fix. We are Worcester Bosch accredited installers and are our preferred boiler to install.
We are also carrying out general plumbing problems such as faulty showers, taps, toilets etc. Unfortunately, we have also attended some very badly damaged properties due to burst pipes lurking in the loft.
I must apologise for not being in the office as much as id like to be lately but its all hands-on-deck this time of year and I have been lending a hand for our engineers when required!!!!

This shower room was originally a bath, basin and toilet with an airing cupboard taking valuable space up. We created a wetroom suitable for the wheelchair user, raised toilet and a basin for the wheelchair to go under. Electric underfloor heating providing the warmth underfoot and nice tall ladder rail for all round heat. Electric shower again designed for ease of use and grab rails positioned to suit the customers needs.

Busy week.last week.....
Worcester Bosch boiler install carried out...28CDi Compact Combi with a Worcester filter giving our customer 10 years peace of mind guarantee from Worcester.
We have also carried out boiler servicing, unvented cylinder servicing and gas fire servicing. Please do get your gas fires serviced annually. Even if you "only use them once now and then". Cobwebs form in unused chimneys, birds nests, other debris which can partially or fully block your chimney causing lethal carbon monoxide gathering in your room.
We have repaired toilets, replaced toilets, taps, showers, etc.

A leaky old shower unit out and a nice new tray, walls made good, wall panelling on, new shower valve and new enclosure with the added bonus of a folding shower seat.

This week we are installing an oil boiler in Scalford.
And fitting a new shower tray, enclosure and multi panel wall covering for a customer in Owston.

This is an unvented hotwater cylinder. It has never been serviced as the customer did not know it should be. Unfortunately today it told the customer it should of been serviced by pouring water through the ceiling. Please make sure your unvented cylinder is serviced annually. It has components on it and in it that need maintaining. Only certified engineers can work on these cylinders.

Lovely gas stove service. Do you know that your gas fire should be serviced annually just like your boiler? Summer is the time to have your appliances serviced ahead of the cold weather rush in winter.

Nice new kitchen tap. Why put up with a leaky old tap! If you are on a water meter those few drips an hour soon add up!
