Full rethatch on the front of these 2 cottages with water reed and fully wire netted the coat work. 🌾

There was only one layer of thatch on the roof as it had previously been re-timbered on the last rethatch, so we had to strip back to bare timbers, before putting on the new thatch.

Our latest completed project, a full rethatch to the front with new ridges. There was a bad groove on one of the back valleys which we had to repair. We also put new lead over the saddles as one of them didn’t even have any and had some bad grooves. All sorted and made good.

A job we completed up near Bideford. Full rethatch to all 3 buildings of the entire property and also the summer house. The old thatch was in quite a bad way, which meant we had to re timber parts of the roof. We added in lead trays to carry water away from the vulnerable places. A very satisfying finish.

Full rethatch on both sides to this cottage. We retimbered the roof as the existing timbers had failed and fallen inwards. We replaced the ridge beam with a new oak beam and put in new wall plates.
