From the football pitch to the building site, Paulโs journey into construction has been anything but ordinary. As one of ELMโs Site Managers, Paul brings teamwork, discipline, and dedication to every project he leads.
๐ What inspired you to pursue a career in construction and development?
"After retiring from professional football in 2013, I was looking for a new career path. A friend who worked as a joiner suggested I come along to site with him โ and the rest is history, as they say!"
๐ A memorable project at ELM?
"Worsley Road definitely stands out. It was my first full project as Site Manager, leading from start to finish. Everything went to plan, and we completed on time โ a proud moment for me."
๐ก How do you spend your free time?
"When Iโm not on site, Iโm usually renovating my own house โ itโs been a three-year project and Iโm nearly there now! I also try to sneak in the odd round of golf when I can."
โฝ Fun fact?
Paul might be too modest to say it himself, but he spent 20 years playing professional football before stepping into construction โ now thatโs a career pivot!
๐ If you could have any superpower to help at work?
"Teleportation โ then I wouldnโt have to sit in hours of traffic on the M6 every week!"
With a strong work ethic and a cool head under pressure, Paul has become a trusted part of the ELM team. Whether itโs project deadlines or traffic jams, he takes it all in stride!
