Some progress photos from a recent garage extension. As well as extending the ground floor area by 50%, the client wanted additional storage space in the roof. Attic trusses were used as part of a hip-to-gable roof extension, providing an additional 25sq.m of storage space. Care was taken to ensure the remaining original roof is adequately supported and restrained by the new structure.

Typical kitchen/dining knock through completed recently in Oxford. Jarn Structures designed the steel beam and bearing requirements.
Top tips: lay your beam in front of the wall before installing props, and fix timber blocking to beam before installing it to ease plaster board fixing.
