Most people ask what paint we use.

The better question is…

How was the surface prepared?

A professional kitchen respray starts long before the colour is applied. Thorough cleaning, careful sanding, specialist primers and the right coating system all play a part in creating a durable finish.

The colour is what catches your eye.

The preparation is what earns the result.

Sometimes the biggest transformations don’t involve replacing a single cabinet.

This kitchen already had everything going for it—great layout, quality cabinetry and solid worktops. It simply needed a colour that better suited the space.

Finished in Little Greene Sage Green, this respray completely changed the feel of the room while keeping the existing kitchen intact.

This kitchen in Langtoft, near Peterborough, was only around a year old, so there was certainly no reason to replace it.

However, the original grey island never quite worked with the rest of the room. Rather than changing the entire kitchen, we resprayed the island only, creating a bespoke colour match to the existing glazed display unit.

The surrounding cabinetry, worktops and flooring were all left exactly as they were.

It was a relatively small change, but the darker finish now connects the island beautifully with the display unit and gives the whole room a much more considered feel.

The finished photos are shown first, followed by a couple of shots of the original grey island at the end.

Would you have kept the original grey, or chosen the darker finish?

Only the island changed.

This kitchen in Langtoft, near Peterborough, was only around one year old. The client was happy with the layout, worktops and main cabinetry, but the original grey island never felt properly connected to the rest of the room.

Rather than respraying the entire kitchen, we matched the island to the existing glazed display unit and professionally refinished only the area that needed changing.

The deeper colour now anchors the room, creates deliberate contrast against the lighter cabinetry and worktops, and makes the overall design feel far more cohesive.

A professional kitchen respray does not always have to mean changing everything.

Sometimes one carefully considered change is enough.

Small kitchen. Big difference.

This compact kitchen in Fenstanton, Cambridgeshire was professionally resprayed in Little Greene Shirting 129.

Not every kitchen transformation has to be huge to make an impact. In smaller spaces, the right colour and finish can completely change how clean, bright and balanced the room feels.

A fresh, simple update using a professional spray finish — without replacing the kitchen.

Cream or Green??
Would you have had the confidence to choose green?

Most people play it safe.

White.
Cream.
Grey.

Because they’re worried they’ll regret choosing something different.

Then every now and again, a customer trusts their instincts…

This kitchen in Benwick, Cambridgeshire is a perfect example.

Finished in Little Greene Boringdon Green, it proves that the right shade of green doesn’t overpower a room—it gives it character.

I’ll admit it…

When the colour was first chosen, I wasn’t completely convinced.

Seeing it finished changed my mind.

Sometimes the colours you question the most end up becoming your favourites.

So…

👇 Are you Team Green, or are you sticking with cream?
