IRELAND 🇮🇪 Planning exemptions

Did you know Ireland has just announced a number of planning exemptions which could now make it easier than ever to have one of our TimberLab Shepherd Huts installed in your garden to use as a holiday let. Make the most of this trial while it's available.

With the changes coming into effect to include a new exemption for an auxiliary habitable dwelling which will allow for the addition of a detached habitable accommodation linked to the services of the principal house – between 32sqm and 45sqm in floor area.

Here's one of our recent huts finished and delivered to Penn Oast Vineyard in Maidstone.

24 x 8ft with huge aluminium windows and underfloor heating, this one gives all the feels of a little micro pub!

Our customer wanted a space for their clients to enjoy wine tasting with a view of their vineyard. We would definitely be partial to a tipple or two at this stunning location 🍷🍾🥂

Our huts really are versatile and can be used for absolutely anything, whether its a home garden office, cinema room or holiday let...the options are endless. If you can dream it, we will build it 💪🏡

We've been a little quiet on our socials of late but lots going on behind the scenes at Timberlab HQ.

Remember this collaboration we were doing with Riverdale Barn wedding venue 👀💚💒

This customer already had a beautiful wedding set up with a bridal dressing area, but were lacking something equally as swanky for the grooms.

They wanted something suave and sophisticated, yet understated and timeless, and the muted green hues of this hut and solid oak, handmade fittings do exactly that. What a beautiful space on the morning of a wedding for the gents 🎩💍

We build all of our huts with the same level of love, care and attention to detail. Each one with its own uniqueness and hand crafted design, and we pride ourselves on always going that extra mile. Its a true labour of love 🩶
This one was that little bit extra special, as it was built for an old school pal. It's always a good feeling when someone you know puts their trust in you to bring their vision to life, and the finer details on this really make it pop! 24ft x 8ft we think she's a stunner 😍

With the rain continuing in February where January left off 🌧😩 We were all surprised to see the sun come out just at the right time, for the delivery and sighting of this Green Goddess to the Lake District 💚🌞

One of the smaller huts we offer at 18ft, this one still packs a punch with fully fitted kitchen, L-shaped breakfast bar, bunk beds, shower room and underfloor heating.

The dark forest steel cladding just does its thing effortlessly in these surroundings, complimented with anthracite grey aluminium windows 🪟 She was made for this space 😍

Now hurry up Spring or we're gonna need to rethink our business model to boats 🤣
