Well, storm Austin seems to be in full swing. we’d like to remind everyone we carry out repairs on everything from the ground to the chimney and everything in between. Due to Christmas being around the corner we will be doing all repairs at a discounted rate (storm Austin related) as I’m sure this was not part of anyone’s plans at this time of year .
We also work closely along side Jac Price (JDP OUTDOOR SOLUTIONS) who we highly recommend for any issues regarding trees that may have blown over and caused any damage and a plethora of other services around green waste and removals.

This week we’ve been doing some internal work.

We were called into insulate, board and skim these three small walls, we used a mix of PVA and SBR diluted with water to prep the walls that weren’t plaster-boarded.

Some before and afters of a job recently took on by the team,

We have

Stripped the old and worn roof of fiber glass slates,

Strengthened and re-fixed the rafters that were loose and not suitable.

We then re-felted, battened and slated the roof and disposed of all waste material

And finally re ridged the whole roof due to the old ones being worn, cracked and unsuitable for purpose.

Would you believe we remembered before photos 😮

Here we have a before and after of a project we recently took on,

Customer again looking for a minimal maintenance garden which still had character to offer.

We

Ripped up old and worn Astro turf,
Excavated the soil and put a solid sub base down thicker than usual due to such soft ground

Laid over 2 packs of Indian sandstone which we then jointed with a grey joint-it supplied by easy joint

Dug out, membraned and added a nice plum slate which we believed set off the natural stone slabs nicely.

Lifted, relayed the older steps using a high power pressure wash to bring them back to life along with some acid. This bought them back to life in a way even we did not expect.

We also added some Cotswold stone to the upper level which we think contrasted nicely with the darker style of the lower level.

Unfortunately forgot once again to do the before photos, so here are some, half way through and the end result photos,

We have,

Stripped the old unfit for use decking and replaced the full thing with new and treated timber,

Re-laid and re-painted the brick on edge which was a hazard from being completely loose,

Astro turfed the area before the decking to give it a crisp, colourful and useable area that can now be utilised

Removed a small dwarf wall and amended the heights with concrete to ensure a continuous level from the Astro-turf to decking area,

Using the remaining off cuts, we Constructed a solid planter with a plaque to commemorate Lola 🐶

We also replaced the full frame, gate and locks aswell , due to the previous one being weathered, dropped and unusable due to age.

And finally we lifted and relaid a small amount of slabs due to them becoming loose over time

Carrying on for a returning customer:

Teaming up with another local landscaper Jac Price

We’ve carried out a complete rip out and
disposal of the old patio due to numerous problems such as pooling/ flooding as well as age

We have
Built ground up in areas using 20mil to dust which has been sprayed and wacked to ensure a properly solid base

Installed aco drains with every corner being mitered with an adequate fall to ensure no pooling

We have laid
88 square metres of worn grey antiqued limestone paving by quornstone 900X600
Which has been set off with a dark jointing compound by ‘easy joint’

We as a team really enjoyed this job and as you can see it has made a real difference looking cleaner, sleaker and most importantly making it a real and functional patio as before it was not fit for purpose.
