I officially launched Partridge Painting & Decorating Co. in February this year. Just me, a clear idea of the standard I wanted to set, and a lot of determination.
Looking back at the last six months, the milestones have stacked up in a way that still makes me smile:
• Getting my first van – that felt huge. Proper wheels under the business.
• Having it fully sign-written. Seeing the name and logo on the side for the first time was a proper “this is real” moment.
• Ordering the company T-shirts and putting them on. Small thing, but it changes how you show up.
• Landing regular fresh jobs and watching the diary fill up.
• Meeting new clients, having proper conversations, and starting to build genuine relationships rather than one-off jobs.
• Winning the first bigger projects – the ones that really test you and prove you’re capable of more.
• And then taking the next step and becoming a limited company (after the van and shirts were already done 😅).
None of it has been handed to me. Every job has been earned by turning up on time, keeping the site clean, communicating properly, and making sure the finish is something I’m proud to put my name to. That’s the bit that matters most to me – the workmanship and the quality.
I’m still very much in the early days, but the foundation feels solid. The brand is out there, the van is rolling, the phone is ringing, and (most importantly) people are trusting me with their homes and businesses.

Here’s to the next six months – more jobs, more relationships, higher standards, and continuing to grow this the right way.
