Ground Force Group recently completed BRE365 infiltration testing for a replacement dwelling to support the soakaway design and wider surface water drainage strategy. Previous testing had been undertaken by another firm; however, the test was not carried out correctly and was not compliant with BRE365.

As a result, we were instructed to return to site and complete a fully compliant BRE365 test and report. Our team carried out the works strictly in accordance with BRE365, successfully recording infiltration rates on three occasions and providing the critical site data required to progress the on-site surface water design with confidence.

💧A BRE365 infiltration test the team carried out today at a site in a village near Dereham, Norfolk showed that the ground conditions were not suitable for infiltration, meaning the test failed.

That said, this is exactly why proper on-site testing matters.

Our engineers assessed the wider site conditions, including nearby drainage fields and watercourses, and were able to provide the client with clear recommendations for the next steps. Even better, the full report was completed and issued the same day.

We were also pleased to receive this feedback from the client:

🦺 Another productive day for The Ground Force Group team, this time in Birmingham.
We successfully carried out 1 x BRE365 percolation test and completed 3 successful test holes, with the full report being issued to the client within 24 hours.

This important stage now allows the drainage engineer to finalise the on-site SuDS solution, keeping the development on track and ready for the next phase.

The team has been busy again this week! They have been carrying out BRE365 percolation testing and site investigations across the UK.

On Monday morning, they were in central Cambridge completing a BRE365 percolation test alongside 5 trial pits to confirm the existing foundations for a project.

Today, the team has been in Reading carrying out a BRE365 percolation test to assess whether infiltration would be suitable for drainage serving a new extension.

All reports will be issued to our clients within 48 hours.
