Today we had our April team breakfast morning. Neil Clayton from BEW provided the breakfast and some goody bags for the team.
We were joined by our CEO, Sam Turner and our COO, Dominic Hobson. Our new MD, Alex Brown, got to meet all the team together and Darren carried out some toolbox talks to keep our Health and Safety knowledge up to date.

This month the employee of the month award was presented to George Ellerton for his flexibility and commitment to assist in overcoming a significantly challenging project. He was presented with a certificate and a £100 screwfix voucher by Darren Buckland.

Last week we held our first team breakfast morning of 2024.
We had our usual breakfast of sausage or bacon rolls, followed by some health and safety talks by Darren Buckland.

Senior management from Advantos - our parent company - were in attendance to introduce Dominic Hobson who is the new Chief Operations Officer.

We held our annual Christmas Team Training Day on Friday 22nd December. This is our yearly opportunity to get together and carry out some extra training activities. Breakfast and lunch was provided and Christmas drinks were given out (to take home!).
We gave out a prize for the best kept van (as judged by Wendi and Becky) - this years winner was Harry. And our winner of Employee of the month was Jason Allen for his consistent hard work and exceptional output.

Last Friday, we had our Company Christmas event at Teamsport in Reading.

A great time was had by all. George won the race, Jason came second and Paul third. James got the fastest lap at 35.334 seconds but was robbed of the podium spot by some foul play and unfair marshalling decisions... apparently...

November breakfast morning went ahead today with sausage or bacon rolls and time to get together to have a chat. James carried out 3 toolbox talks, Phil restated our core values to the team and announced a new group policy of "Birthday leave". This is an extra days holiday for all direct employed team members to be taken on their birthday or the nearest working day to their birthday. Sam Turner (CEO of Advantos Group) gave us an update on some of the feedback from the Team Engagement Survey and communicated the groups ambition to become the "Employer of Choice" in the M & E sector.
Our employee of the month for October is George Sharpe. He was awarded this prize in recognition of consistent hard work, flexibility and commitment to several projects resulting in excellent feedback from senior electricians. Very well done George!

On 4th October we held our monthly breakfast morning. James (in the photo) carried out two toolbox talks to the team - Company Vehicle drivers talk and Housekeeping. Our CEO, Sam Turner, also attended to give an informative presentation to the whole team on the future of the group. Everyone enjoyed a hot sausage or bacon roll and a catchup with colleagues.

D J Mace and Son held their 3rd breakfast morning in June 2023. Another successful gathering of our team to enjoy a breakfast of bacon or sausages in a roll, croissants, tea, coffee, fruit juice and fresh strawberries. The winner of the Employee of the Month was Craig Hindmarsh. Craig has not been with us long, but is a much valued team member whose consistent hard work, dedication and effort was recognised by an important client. Well done Craig!
