Hello, and a very Merry Christmas to you all, have a wonderful day 😊
I haven't taken many photos lately, since the market stall has gone full time. We have now got two stalls and they both open 7 days a week, so I haven't seen daylight since this began.
Hopefully now the shortest day has passed we will get a bit more daylight each day, a few seconds will make a difference, before long it will be Spring, times passes so quickly.
I spotted the first Snowdrops of the season, it was on the 11th December, which is the equal earliest date I have seen them on the Trusts land. Now the Snowdrops have appeared it is only a matter of time before we have much more flora appearing, beginning another cycle.
I went to Whitefields to see Elaine and her team of dedicated volunteers working away. Under the guidance of Jack, of Ape Tree Services they planted approximately 450 mixed saplings continuing the previously started hedgerow. These will look stunning as they grow and provide great habitats for birds and other wildlife.
The sunrises have been magnificent, very colourful and dramatic.
I have enjoyed looking at the small stuff in some of our woodland when I did manage a couple of daylight hours. I cannot wait until lighter days, I never wish time away, but when you don't see much of the light it really counts.
Anyway, I will stop waffling, go and enjoy your Christmas dinners, your families, and don't forget to take a walk outdoors, there is no better feeling than getting wrapped up cosy and embracing nature.
MERRY CHRISTMAS
