Apprentice Arborist / Climbing Trainee
Location: Belper, Derbyshire
Employment: Full-time

We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Arborist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone eager to build a long-term career in arboriculture, with full support and training provided toward climbing, chainsaw operation, and industry-recognised qualifications.

What you’ll do:

• Assist climbers and ground staff with daily tree work
• Learn safe climbing techniques and rope systems
• Operate equipment under supervision
• Help maintain tools, machinery, and vehicles
• Follow high safety and environmental standards

We’re looking for:

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Good time keeping
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)

What we offer:

• Structured apprenticeship training
• On-the-job mentoring with experienced arborists
• Opportunities to progress into a climbing arborist role
• Competitive pay dependent on experience

• Work Monday to Friday 7:45am to 4:30pm (weekend work may be optional)
