Floating oak staircase made and installed using traditional hand made joinery. For this floating staircase the customer had a few key requirements including removing the constantly cracked joints, increasing strength, and incorporating traditional joinery. We used a mortice to prevent future cracks, added a string along the wall to increase strength and used half blind dovetails on each step. With this comes a modern twist on our traditional joinery techniques which are rapidly being lost.
