Right then… summer officially starts (meteorologically anyway) and West Sussex immediately remembers it’s in England.

We’ve had absolutely brilliant weather for weeks… blue skies, warm evenings, everyone suddenly becoming BBQ experts…

Now June arrives and it’s raining.

Typical.

To be honest, it does raise an important local question…

What actually counts as “summer” around Rustington and Worthing?

One sunny weekend?

The first beach day out?

Fish & chips eaten outside without needing a coat?

Or simply getting through a whole day without checking the weather app every 20 minutes?

Myself and Joe are off to a festival on Thursday, needless to say I have checked the weather app every day for the last 2 weeks. Let's just say.... we may need some wellies!

"Impressed to meet two young men with such positive attitudes and sound work ethic.
Really good communication from my initial call through to completion of work.
Treated my home with respect, took care to keep doors and gates shut so I had no canine escapees, and worked in a very clean way.

4 stars instead of 5. Only because Joe was sent out without everything he needed so had to pop out twice to pick up some items. But he was straightforward, kept me in the loop and handled the ‘glitsch’ very professionally. Just meant the work wasn’t carried out as efficiently as it might have been …. But these things happen, and we, as clients, just need honesty/transparency which was exactly what I got.

Would employ Tide again without hesitation.

"Recently moved into my new home with my family. After having issues with the electric tripping multiple times, a damaged wire to the bedroom light, wall sockets replacing and mould in the bathroom due to no extractor fan, we needed an electrician to fix the problems.

I contacted Tide after receiving a leaflet through the door. Like most people you want a professional who is honest, and cost effective and Tide ticked all the boxes. Initial communication with (Jo) who is friendly patient and clear communication skills when booking an appointment. (Joe) did the quote visit, he was friendly, polite, provided various ideas to suit our needs and recommended energy saving advice to reduce those costly bills. (Alex) did the installation of wall sockets, the extractor fan, repaired the damaged light cable and found the source of the electric tripping. He raised any concerns found and also recommended future improvements/safety advice.

Overall from initial contact to the work carried out I am pleased with my customer service. As a whole, Tide was professional, knowledgable, friendly, and respectful. Work completed by Joe and Alex was to a high standard and areas worked were left tidy. Thank you all at Tide and I will definitely be using your services again in the near future."

Fuse board upgrade completed for Suzanne and Adrian in Rustington.

They originally contacted us looking for a consumer unit upgrade, but before carrying out the work we recommended an EICR to assess the condition of the installation. Good job we did.

The inspection uncovered missing earths on several lighting circuits, no main bonding to the gas or water services, and a few additional defects requiring attention before the upgrade could safely go ahead.

Thankfully, the affected light fittings were already double insulated, but we still installed the appropriate warning labels for future reference. After upgrading the bonding and completing the remedial works, we fitted the new fuse board, leaving the property safer, more compliant and ready for years to come.
