This job was for a contractor we work for, we renewed the roof with breathable felt, treated battens and Canadian slates. Finished off with a dry ridge system.

The client had a serious like afternoon the recent storms we had, the original roof covering was felt but had been repair multiple times. We renewed the roof with a liquid Plastic system including new OSB boards. The client also wanted to restore character to the property so we got rid of the existing ridge which were all different and replaced with saddle back clay ridge.

We fitted timber cladding to the side of the house and renewed the verge above to replace the broken tiles.

The customers soffit under the barge board came loose and this was due to timber underneath rotting away. After further investigation it appears the tiles to the verge had all slipped. So we removed all the verge tiles, repaired the rotten timber under the soffit then re-bedded the verge using mortar.

This customers front hip tiles kept blowing off and being repaired by other contractors. So we removed all the ridge tiles which were bedded with mortar and re-fitted using a dry ridge system.

Roofer required on self employed basis. Experience in slating, tiling and lead work. Work is based in London and Kent. Own transport preferred but not essential. Rates of pay negotiable depending on experience.
