Wildflower meadows are at their peak right now. We’ve included meadow planting in countless projects over the years, and they never fail to deliver. This wet meadow pictured above is in full bloom this month with the delicate flowers of Filipendula ulmaria (meadowsweet).

Stone paths at Iford Manor

There’s something deeply grounding about the old stone paving at Iford Manor, observed on a recent visit to this beautiful Grade I listed garden. Uneven edges, irregular forms, imperfections shaped by using what was already there, material lifted directly from the ground beneath.

Older gardens often carry more craft in the laying, with less pursuit for perfection.

At the studio, we are always looking to the landscape for inspiration. Right now, we’re captivated by the explosion of wildflowers clinging to the Devonian slate along the northern coasts of Cornwall. Inspired by these resilient coastal plant communities, we’ll be sowing drifts of Anthyllis vulneraria and Armeria maritima into the gaps within our Blue Lias paving.

We’re looking forward to seeing how they establish themselves over time and whether they might even entice the small blue butterfly to visit.

Celebrating 10 Years!

We are delighted to mark our 10-year anniversary with the introduction of a new logo mark and website (coming soon), an evolution of our brand identity.

Over the past decade, we have remained committed to creating bespoke gardens that feel deeply rooted in place and endure over time. This approach has been shaped by the land itself, the clients we’ve worked alongside, and the skilled hands who bring each project to life.

This milestone offers a moment to reflect, and to extend our sincere thanks to our clients, collaborators and friends for being part of the journey.

We look forward to what comes next.

Water features - ponds, fountains, streams

Ponds, fountains and streams bring movement, sound and reflection to the garden while supporting biodiversity and creating calm, balanced landscapes. Wherever possible, we always incorporate water into our design schemes, as an essential and enriching element.
