A full overhaul of this garden, to create more usable raised bed space, building some natural stone steps paved with Indian Sandstone, and laying a cobble-stone pathway from Italian Porphyry cobble setts.

A small project made a big diferrence for our happy customer with these new steps completed this week! 🧱
The original steps were steep and narrow and limiting access to the back garden, so we rebuilt them from the ground up; increasing surface area and reducing step height, paved with Indian sandstone and all done with our usual exceptional customer service ✨️

A full garden makeover completed this summer. A creative design on the patio and a pond with waterfall were two of the highlights of this job making it a really special design of the space.

At Alchemy Landscapes we love to make something different for people ~ creative designs and unique spaces ~lines that shine, curves that flow ~ details that capture the imagination~ peaceful spaces to rest and feel inspired by nature.
Often using reclaimed natural materials where possible, and adpoting an organic approach to garden design so that your outdoor space can be more much more than just a garden, it can be a living piece of art for you to enjoy.

Installed timber planting beds, laying Indian sandstone paving and a new lawn. As well as a signature natural stone planter using reclaimed stone from the garden. All with our usual attention to detail and emphasis on quality.

2023 has been an exciting year for us at Alchemy Landscapes with some brilliant projects that have allowed us new levels of creativity in transforming our customers outdoor spaces ✨️
We do most hard landscaping work, specialising in natural stone work, walling, pathways and steps, as well as lots of wood work too!
We love working with relcaimed materials where ever possible and our favourite projects are the unique, quirky and rustic garden designs. The more creative the ideas, the more we love it! 🧙‍♂️✨️
Since starting out in 2020 we have found our own special style, with particular emphasis on attention to detail and asthetics. The quality extends to our customer service as well, with our small, friendly and helpful team in Sheffield.

Contrast 🌗
This "blank canvas" garden transformation allowed us to get creative with the paving design, using beautiful re-claimed york paving which breaks into the dark soil on one side, for planting by the customers, and on the other side the light blue slate chipping offer a free draining hard standing for access to their bike shed.
The wooden sleeper planters in the corner frame the space and mirror the privacy fencing installed down the other side of the garden.
Visually striking, and an exciting and welcoming space for our customers to enjoy in their new home 🌟

One of our finest creative works! 🧞‍♂️
Our customers had a basement conversion built, with new access into the front garden, so they called on us to create the walkway to access their new space!
We had full creative lisence on this one (which we love!) to create something truly unique and special for our lovely customers.
Using almost entirely reclaimed materials from the property, we built or signature rustic stone retaining walls with a wavey top and sweeping curve to lead you up the path.
And then cascading planting beds as a feature piece, all ready for planting up.🌟

A grand stair way build!! ✨️
The previous steps were narrow and tall, not the easiest of access, and with a baby on the way our customers needed something that made life easy for them.
Tying into the existing stone work using sandstone blocks we built these new steps with a gentle tread height and plent of space for walking on, surfacing using the block paving lifted from the old steps.
Oh, and we also happen to think these steps look magnifcent... standard practice from the Alchemists ✨️🧙‍♂️

Even a small front garden can be a beautiful feature in itself.
We stripped out this over grown front garden that had got out of hand.
And putting our magic to work we relaid the crazy-paving round the bay windows, lay gravel on weed-surpressant membrane to keep things low maintainance, and relaid the york paving stones and stone steps leading you to the front door...
So now, you are welcomed to the property in style ✨️
