WC update 😀

A few weeks ago I removed old WC wall tiles and vinyl flooring.

I installed a plywood floor to give the LVT I also installed a nice level base.

I also fitted these marble affect wall panels and added this stunning blue toilet unit.

After which our skilled and trustworthy plasterer Grant Hemsley did his thing to get smooth walls 👌

Finally the homeowner added this blue paint 🖌️ which has made this old tired WC room. Into a warm, modern but also contemporary appeal 😍

Happy Hump Day

Today I removed a wall hung shower unit and replaced it with a dual head bar shower.

I had to carefully solder longer pieces of copper shower pipes and sealed and made good with tile adhesive.

Friday Finished to a varied week

Received a Whatsapp message with pictures regarding a leaking toilet that the home owner presumed was the pan connector.

We liased and were able to give an accurate estimate or labor and materials...

On inspection it was discovered the leak was from the deformed donut 🍩 washer and fixing bolts (very corroded).

I collected the replacement parts but suggested I also replaced the flush and inlet valve while I was there!

The toilet was also not secured to the wall which likely contributed to the movement to start the leak. So I secured it to the wall.

Emergency shower replacement 🚿

A old school friend with a very young family Whatsapp messaged me on Tuesday to say his shower was running cold and also leaking.

I was able to quote him from the pictures he sent (photo 1).

This morning I visited to install the new electric ⚡ shower, also installing a full bore isolation valve, making future maintenance much easier.

Feel good Friday

I received a call from my 1st ever customers from when I started 14 years ago.

They had returned from holiday and had heard a noise from behind the fire for 4 days!

They were especially worried because they were convinced it was a rat 🐀.

I attended, using the camera I quickly established that it was in fact a wood pigeon 🐦😄. Also it was still alive.

The fire was removed, bird caught and released without any apparent issues 😊🙏💙.

I capped off the gas supply as they are going to have an electric fire and a cowl fitted to prevent this happening again

One I completed last week after starting on bank Holiday.

A big facelift given to this downstairs cloakroom, the furniture has stayed, but the walls have been covered in PVC.

Also the wires have been hidden in the wall and prevision for a heating element in,so the customer has the option for both central heating or electric heater⚡💡⚡
